Bemused, I was recently thinking about Kimmie and how charming she was when I first met her.....then when she ensnared me along with others, she changed...started making demands..of time, money, and unquestioning loyalty. And what an actress - she could turn on the tears like a faucet. That's the short version of my experience with her, but I can identify with every item on your checklist.

It's a slow day, so I thought I'd compare Kimmie to a famous checklist for psychopathy. Disclaimer: I'm not a trained professional and this is just my opinion. The checklist involves rating each trait from 0 to 2. The minimum score is 0 and the maximum is 40. A score over 30 means a person is a psychopath.
    • Glibness/superficial charm - She is quite charming to bigwigs, audiences, and students she's trying to recruit.
    • Grandiose sense of self-worth - She was once scornful of a student who compared her to Gandhi, thinking herself superior to him.
    • Pathological lying - She has lied to or in front of just about every ex-student who has posted here.
    • Cunning/manipulative - She engineers situations to her benefit, especially within COL, telling one student what to say to another. She also cries and begs for pity when someone catches her at one of her games.
    • Lack of remorse or guilt - It's always about what someone did to her, not what she did to them.
    • Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric) - Shadow had a great example of this one when he saw her go from rage to tears within seconds depending on who she was talking to on the phone.
    • Callous/lack of empathy - She's really good at faking empathy with new students or those thinking of leaving, but usually when students suffer, she tells them to shape up or ship out.
    • Failure to accept responsibility for own actions - It's always someone else's fault. Sometimes she tearfully expresses regrets, but this is the cue for her minions to reassure her she did nothing wrong. If they don't, there's hell to pay.
    • Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom - She seems to thrive on fun, conflict, and most of all attention.
    • Parasitic lifestyle - She lives off the labor of those in COL and Lighthouse, doing very little real work. Lighthouse is a tech company but she can't even use a computer.
    • Poor behavioral control - She seems to have this one in a variety of symptoms, from tantrums to unpaid bills.
    • Lack of realistic long-term goals - Her goals are grandiose and vague, like "being famous" or "being rich," and she leaves the details to her minions.
    • Impulsivity - She seems to have this one in a variety of symptoms, from tantrums to shopping carts full of cheap purses.
    • Irresponsibility - It's her minions who clean up after her tantrums, unpaid bills, and shopping sprees.
    • Juvenile delinquency - Can't evaluate this one, I didn't know her as a juvenile.
    • Early behavior problems - Ditto.
    • Revocation of conditional release - Not applicable, I don't think she has ever been in jail.
    • Promiscuous sexual behavior - Allegedly she was once a prostitute.
    • Many short-term marital relationships - No on this one, just one marriage of about 20 years.
    • Criminal versatility - She has been versatile in forms of fraud, abuse, and even violence.

    I'd rate her a 2 on 16 of the 20 traits, yielding a score of 32.

I went to the Santa Clara Convention Center website -
I notice that Black Belt testing hoopla event isn't on the schedule. So wassup with that?

The JSW website hasn't been updated in quite a while - that student of the week may turn out to be student of the year.

So True FS. I could see him cringe anytime she spent money. In fact sometimes when her and I went together, he would ask me to help her not spend too much. As if anyone could stop her from spending. As far as kitty-ki talking about the 20 dollar dinners. It was just easy math, and the left over money would always pay for tyk's meal (which you should be glad to pay for) the rest went to pay for the senior instructor's meals and then the rest went to scott

SHS is a tightwad and TYK a reckless shopping addict. They deserve each other.

I might add to that SHS virtually demanded that I help pay for their food, even though I did not live with them nor eat with them.

Generally speaking, dinners are more expensive than lunches, even though the menu is the same. They tack on for ambiance or whatever. If you had to pay TYK directly for the meal, rather than the restaurant, then probably she did pocket a bit.

We bought our doboks et al from TYK. At the time, she paid about 16 dollars for them and we were charged 30. Same for the jackets we had our arms twisted to buy - cost 58, charged 75.

TYK's parents had a store where they sold imported Asian foods as well as dobuks and belts. TYK bypassed them and made her profit, thereby cutting off her own family from some income. By accident, UPS once delivered a box of dobuks to the store which was meant instead for TYK's dojang, (ATC) and her mother had a hissy fit about it. Not to worry though, SHS and the rest of them bought most of their food through the store, so all was not lost. Of course, they lived mostly on rice, ramen, and kimchi..

Just took another look at the JSW website. What's with the voucher thing? Is this a way of filling the seats? And what a rude way of phrasing this - "Who Gave You the Voucher"? It's accusatory, rather than remotely polite. How about - "given to" or "guest of"?

Ah but when she was here, she showed me pictures of the visit she and the entire school took to the Boston Museum where they had an exhibit of Korean art going back 5,000 years. She had SHS take a picture of her so that the gold crown of Korean kings appeared to be on her head. She told me she was descended from Korean royalty. (By the way, pictures were not allowed but SHS took them anyway. He had 2 cameras apparently and one of the films was confiscated, but he hid the other roll. Such lovely honest people, all of 'em)

Again, as I think Bemused said, we should not be at each other, but focus on TYK's issues.

I looked back on my old 2005 journals to see when JSW discovered this thread and it was interesting. They were really mad about it, MBF, MEA, etc, (acronyms for anonymity), and they even got into my fledgling MySpace account looking for dirt on them. I can't prove they were there since I had deleted it in 2007. I did have connections through a friend to some of the former yong sa and then current yong sa people. I didn't rat out the students online there, and haven't done it here. I did try to tralk to the person now called Clare and the person now called Chica on myspace and they were worried I was still in and would rat them out. I did not. Or perhaps they were merely annoyed at me for advising them not to post too much inflamatory stuff on their sites. It was not my job to police the net. They were right on that. They must have assumed therefore I was in and would out them. But I did not.

And the BS people aren't going to yell at me for calling it names. Why am I posting if not to sling mud? Have you read their posts to others on here? Yes. Well nobody cares. That's why we can say what we like.

But just in case, I didn't mean anything by it. 'crapfest' could also refer to crap people post, and to crap about TYK. It is called bullshido, a combination of bullsh*t and bushido.
