I went and looked at the picture. I agree that the Easter Sunday color palette looks a bit silly. Most of the testing black belts and many of the students appear to be children. When I was a student, a higher proportion of students were adults.
Kimmie's popularity peaked in about 1997. That was the year of what I have called the Three Blind Mice incident. Kimmie probably thought she had nowhere to go but up and that she could get away with anything. Then in 1998 a third of the COL students left (including me), the Inside Edition expose aired, and she has never been the same since.
Her life could be a classic Greek tragedy, only with Las Vegas costumes.
