You think I'm being too harsh on this guy?

    http://www.mmaplayground.com/forums/topic16923-1.html

I've been in muay thai for 9 years now with a good record of (27-1) [21 KOs, 1 KO loss] and want to convert over to MMA, ive been learning submissions & submission defense i have been training in BJJ and have a blue belt also been practacing takedown defense and have stellar balence and control

I have older brothers that taught me to defend myself along with bullying the younger target so ive learned my share of wrestling and gained tendon strength thru that and other sports, its nice to be the one who knows how to fight and is able to sub them from strikes or tapout

Back on topic what should i practice the most? i plan on going to more MMA, Thai Boxing and BJJ academies...

I looked at this as a red flag, but gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I asked him how old he was and he said 24.

I'm like "24? Would you like to be a little more truthful about your record and experience then?"

He thinks I'm calling him a liar when I'm looking at it like this "Well, he's probably had some smokers and such but 28 fights 21 ko's? There's something missing here."

No, you may have been a little blunt, but not too harsh imho.

And any ways a guy claiming a 27-1 record should at least be willing to verify it.

That's my point. He called me rude. I'm like, jeez, he needs to come over to this site if he wants to see what rude is.

for realz...if he's driven enough to win 27 fights, and only drop one...I don't see why he'd look at that as anything but a chance to bask in your adoration. Why wouldn't he go into more detail....red flag indeed...at least a little. Besides, with a record like that, he'll be listed online surely...he should bathe in the fame he deserves.

I'm surprised you didn't tear into him more after his first response.

Regardless of the original post your follow ups were perfect. I suspect if his lies weren't so blatantly obvious you'd have approached him more gently.

Glad you weeded this fucker out.

Is he thai? Otherwise, man, assuming he started full contact at 16 soon after starting muay thai, that's 108 months /28 fights means a fight every 3.8 months. That's not unpossible, but it seems unlikely he'd be asking many questions on MMA playground if he trained that hard.

This dude that was offended about being asked a detail about his fight record does realize he's on Bullshido right?

He started MT at 16, been doing it for 9 years, with a 24-1 record, and still had time to train BJJ and get his blue... and he's asking what he needs to train more? Someone with that much talent should have a good idea in what direction to go.

                            Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuullllshit!!!!

Did anyone else notice that in this guy's post, the advertisement hyperlinked the word "pride" in the phrase "swallow your pride" to a gay website?

Does anyone else find this hilarious?
