Hughes' bitching and whining about the matchups is pure comedy, IMO. If I were Matt Serra, I would HAVE to pit Hughes' surviving fighters against each other. It's just good strategy. And, even though Hughes' doesn't agree, its good for Serra's fighters as well. Serra is guaranteed to eliminate either Mac or Farmboy. Farmboy will probably lose, but his raw power and aggressiveness will have a good chance of chipping Mac up, at least a little. You can pair up George against whomever Serra thinks is weakest, and give George what is hopefully an easy path to the semis, and he gets through unscathed.
The only way that doesn't happen is if Serra thinks that his guys can easily beat Farmboy and Mac. Then you go for the double KO, and eliminate all of Hughes' guys from the competition. But I'm hoping Serra isn't that overconfident.
Besides, if it happens, the only person Hughes can blame is himself. If he'd have been a better coach, then this wouldn't have happened.
As for George's attitude, he came to win the show. Not make friends. He's not making it harder on himself, because he genuinely does NOT CARE what the rest of the guys think about him. He thinks he's the best in the house, and so far, he looks it.
