looked like a tap to me. They even showed it in the replay, and later in the show, during the recap WTF?

still...a good fight...no quit in them...Huges told Tommy not to go for the sub...and he listened and went back to side control or whatever.

      Anyone read Matt hughe's blog?

He made it looks like him and Robot guy are the same.

But according to danzig, he's pretty much super silent and...unemotional. But Hughes is making it out to be 'poker face'.

He's trying to make it look like he lost because his guys didn't listen to him.

But what the hell is he doing in his corner?

      And

Just shows that Hughs main problem this season is not knowing his fighters.

I think the thing that makes me laugh the most..... is the show's transition (or attempt to) from being about up and coming fighters, to which coach is better, and the fight between the coaches on the PPV after the show ends.... How many times has Hughes said that a team loss is a direct reflection on his coaching..... what a turd! This isn't the first rodeo for more than half these guys and there is no blame to be put anywhere but their own shoulders if they lose.... Does serra go out and choke people out for his team? Does Hughes go out and submit for his? Its the fighters that do all of it.

This show cracks me up that its more about the coaching than anything. Its just like that season where ass boy couldn't make weight, even from his colon adventures. THERE IS NO EXCUSE AT THIS LEVEL NOT TO BE READY TO FIGHT.... or else why are you there? How many times this year have we seen guys posture so big and tough like, then when its their turn to fight.... "I haven't' had the best child hood *tear*" or "I just wasn't ready, I wasn't all there...." sure there is pressure but you are not here to have your hands held! NUT UP AND THROW SOME FUCKING HANDS, otherwise sit on your couch and watch the show like the rest of us do.....

ok ok so that may be over critical, but its just an observation.

"That dude is strong" lol. I wonder what freakish strength he must have for WM to say that. Im suprised Serra wasnt telling WM to rip that wound up even more, WM was guzzling the stuff when he was mounted must of been very annoying.

I have it on tape and will look at it again but I think you're absolutely right. My reaction was "Damn! he just ta..... oh, I guess not".

It's been a very compelling season even if it's just to compare the two Matts. Serra is definately the superior coach. He adapts his style of coaching to fit each individual's personality. Hughes seems to have one coaching style and is mystified that it doesn't work for everyone.

WarMachine lost out of mental issues...he started off well, and his gameplan was by the book...FarmBoy tapped to the choke(and I thought I was seeing things but I guess not), WarMachine lost focus and "Red Hearing" just pounded his ass like Nacho Vidal! "Jean Grey" showed strong wrestling skills in training but amazingly got taken down just like that by WM...so I guess that makes "Red Sonja"...Iron Man?

If I lost a fight to someone with full hooks in, on his back, with a complete rear naked choke...well, let's just say next practice would be a "brazilian treatment"...none stop fights and cart blanche to everyone in the team to mess me up, instructor included!:sad8:

I think Mac and George have the mentality to be at UFC level. Unless they meet before that, I'm seeing the two of them in the final.

In retrospect, I'm even less enthralled with them wanting a wakeup call from George...WTF??? How many guys there are really serious about it?? more serious than other young pros??? are they there because they are the best of the rest...or because the personality matchups are nice for TV???? I'm afraid, with only a few exceptions, that it's the latter.

what are they there for? If I were there, I'd be a fucking machine. Early to bed, early to rise, diet, everything. No booze, just 6 weeks of total immersion..why else go there? to be humiliated on national TV? I wouldn't want to be. Too much fucking about in the house every season.

Nate Diaz had the focus, and won. I think George has the same dedication and seriousness going on.

I thought farm boy tapped to the choke also. Maybe War released some of the pressure if he felt it? I don't know; once that RNC grip is sunk in it usually takes very little effort to finish. The bit where it looked like he tapped, you don't get a great angle but it sure looked to me like the choke was in deep. When they roll over afterward you can see the choking arm is in a position to finish.

I thought farm boy tapped. That being said, 'War Machine' completely gave up after the choke attempt. There were a few little flurries from him but he was not listenign to Serra at all. He was very gassed (understandable) but his mental game is not where it needs to be.

What the fuck is with J-Roc? This bitch loves acting out and getting his face on TV but he was a fucking classic bullshido artist in everything he did. Did you see that kick that they highlighted this week? It was thrown out for show not for dough. That guy is bullshit.

You're absolutely right about the lack of focus and dedication in general, but I don't really think doing somebody a favor and waking them up in the morning is asking too much, or detracts in any way from your ability to fight them later on if need be. Some people just have trouble waking up without alarm clocks.

It was indeed in position to finish it. You are, however, wrong that it is necessarily easy to finish. Red certainly showed grit in fighting it instead of taping and by keeping WM from getting his rear hand behind the head. This combined with the blood and sweat and finishing an opponent who quite clearly you're going to have to put to sleep isn't so easy.
