I don't see why you guys are making fun of Silva wanting to hang out with Seagal.

If I got the chance to watch that fat fuck try to exercise, I'd totally do whatever stupid shit he was "teaching".

you have to be shitting me that anderson silva, who apparently is a MT fighter, hadn't done a basic rear leg teep before he met seagull?

Silva's trolling the shit out of the world. He hates all of you fickle fucks and just wants all of you to take his word as gold and spend it on your unmitigated bullshit ignorance while he laughs merrily all the way to the end of creation.

            Idiots.

That's the same kick Seagal will use when he kicks Van Damme's ass!

Silva didn't do it right anyway.

For a proper Seagal kick you have to be out of breath and whispering in a southern ghetto dialect, while while loads of sycophants do talking-heads commentary on what fucking awesome, charity-working, incarnation of the buddhist god of warbastards you are.

This is a great point. Segal did not train him in MMA but was there as IDK lets say an adviser. If Silva would train like a TMA guy just doing Kata and point sparring he would not be who he is. Only from the years of training and conditioning did he get to the point that he is today. Bringing in a guy like Segal to give you insight to better technique is what a lot of MMA fighters need to do.

I am just saying Segal is a martial artist whether we like it or not and does have some knowledge of techniques to think other wise is stupid. Does his style work? No, but his insight may be the thing that Silva needs right now. Segal comes off as deep and meaningful even though most of us see him as a douche. Remember back in the 80s we all wanted to do the stuff he was doing until 93 so don't get all uppity about him.

Just a thought here - but perhaps Seagal showed Silva a slightly different take on the kick, or offered a different philosophical perspective on it, which led to Silva choosing it over something else in that situation...

                              Dunno, just theorizing. Idly.

So Seagal takes him along to the firing range to shoot the heads off of matches? That would've been pretty funny.
