dying as in it is losing popularity. It will never go away. However, the kids of today who are thinking about one on one combat are wanting to do MMA...not box. The boxing product is just crap nowadays with guys refusing to fight each other and no stability with sanctioning bodies or promoters.

    Point taken
I still say it happens more often in teh MMA. I mean there are way more things to get caught with.

you are wrong. In that respect all full contact styles are equal, there is always a chance for the loser to get lucky.. moreso in striking because the nature of grappling makes it inherently less likely that a loser being controled will somehow find a last ditch submission.

No I know but I'm talking in a split second, out of the blue, knock out.

Another thing about boxing is that if the fight is one-sided, there really Isn't a chance for the guy that is losing.

I am fairly young but no I do appreciate boxing, its just that if there was a UFC fight or a boxing fight you know which one I would choose.
What did you think of the Nate Diaz vs. Marcus Davis fight? I thought they both showed some pretty intense boxing in that fight.

I hear this all the time from guys who are insecure.

"I want to do that cage fighting but not the rolling around on the floor stuff thats a bit gay, just the punching and kicking"

My only hope is that one day they fight an mma guy and get slammed and choked until they piss themselves before they throw a punch.

Which will leave them wondering, "who exactly was the man in that situation and who was the bitch?"
