Ashida Kim - IMAC Grandmaster of the Year 2009?

Hi all, I registered just to post this. With all the AK crap out there, this might warrant a look-see.

"On August 1, 2009, I was honored by being inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Grandmaster of the Year in ceremonies held at Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Downtown Nashville TN." http://ashidakim.com/HoF2009.html

Just a quick wtf? for anyone out there in the know? I gotta tell you, the previous list of inductees seems 100 miles wide and 2" deep, as the saying goes. http://www.unitedstatesmartialartsha...com/index.html

But what do I know? I'd never, ever want to tread on the toes of any organization. But I noticed Kim's name come up, and the BDFS, and AK posing for photos with Vic Moore and Frank Dux,
and well, I thought it might be worth mentioning here.

    Cheers!

Really? Really?! Have they watched his videos?
YouTube - Ninja Training 1 (Sword Kata)

Haven't they seen this shit? Other martial artist actually acknowledge him as a martial artist? Let alone a master of anything?

Then the topping on this cake of fail is that the article mentioned a documentary called "Beyond Bloodsport" which follows Frank Dux.

That's a pay-to-play organization. If you have enough money, you too can be a grand master soke of the year!

That would indicate that he still has money to spend. This in turn would indicate he still has a following of high school boys with too much allowance on their hands.

Wait wait wait just a damn minute... Are you seriously attempting to tell me that I cannot control the elements by mastering my energy vibrations? :sad11:

          God that video was horrible...

            Isn't this more YMAS material?
There doesn't seem to me much in way of investigation.

That would make more sense, however that would mean Ashida has money. Wasn't he quoted in court of being broke and living with his mother?

Yes, I've read that as well.
Makes me wonder whom he owes money to, and where he got his current money.

Secondly the man is old. Must be at least in his late 60s. Makes me wonder how old his mother is. Or is cross dressing as an elderly woman for court appearances/knife stabbings another ninja mind trick?

Wait, don't ninjers not wanna be seen. I think Dux's Gi is as inconspicuous as they come. I guess it was way too bright, hence the cool shades.

Um... is it just me, or did Ashida actually get an epicantic fold installed to look more asian? He didn't have one a few years back...

I read through the list of awardees from last year. It's chock full of self-made GM's with their own styles, TKD uber-dans, self-esteem senseis and Konigun kids. Adding these two freaks to the list just makes natural sense given the context.

                          Don't see Yo Sato though.

Has anyone else noticed that Ashida Kim's voice sounds like Carl Sagan?

                              and LOL
