    Ronin,

The BWO (BAJI World Order) is manned by a unrelenting fearsome brigade of BAJI Zombies. If this is a Zombie Bashing thread then you better be ready to face the consequences!

You can't practice Judo just to win a Judo Match! You practice so that no matter what happens, you can win using Judo!
The key to fighting two men at once is to be much tougher than both of them.

while performing "Dead Alive" training, always make sure you understand how to use a lawnmower as a weapon, because zombies are hard to kill.

You need Tae Kwon Do for zombie killing.

See previous MA threads about zombie fighting.

I agree with you ronin, I think I prefer your terms as they more aptly describe a certain phase of combat without too many negative connotations.

Yep. Seems to be a fairly open and shut case.

Now back to the zombie discussion.

To get back on topic just for a second before the zombies eat your brains for lunch, its all just to sell a video.

Catch words are big business in the video MA market. Alive, Combat, Special, Military, Do, Reality, Secret, Exculsive......... The list goes on. And, ususally it's just a hunk of the same old bisquit.

                          Semantics.

The point is that it is almost always more productive to train as you fight. You could call it "Combat Pilates" training if you wanted to, as long as you get the point across and the students are effective.

[Edited, instead of adding an extra post]

And there's nothing wrong with having good marketing of your ideas. Its when overstated marketing is combined with a substandard product (or martial art in this case) that people should speak out.

There's a big difference between offering guaranteed black belts at a school that only teaches people how to point-spar, and having a catchy term to describe a functional combat system.

And I think we can all agree to that.
