You seem to have missed this question of Sam's.

Basically which NYSPCC were you affiliated with and is it still in operation?

    What time frame/years please?

I own two 40 cal sigs, a mossberg shotgun, and my personal favorite, the M-4 Carbine which fires a 5.56 NATO round, as well as (of course) a bullet proof vest. The gas mask is (was) a gift from a friend of mine who served in Desert Shield/Storm, so it functions to those specs.

Of course. I used to date an undercover narcotics officer in the state of Maryland (I will not be more specific due to her undercover status). Ive had a few trips to florida, the carolinas for some golf, the bahamas, cancun, and stockholm, sweden (which really is an amazing place....very cool clubs, and great food) .....and since you asked.....where have you traveled to ?

You have only given when you quit. You haven't specified which SPCC you were affiliated with.

            Vagueness isn't an answer.

Most states with major cities, Chicago, NY, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Kansas City, etc, etc. If you make it through Atlanta sometime, look me up and we will get together for some training and food.

You did mention that you worked out of the Bronx and Westchester mainly. But, that does not say which SPCC specifically. Were you with the Bronx SPCC or Yonkers SPCC? The NY SPCC? There are 11 SPCCs operating in NY State (12 before king county SPCC was closed). Many of which are in the tri-state area.

Also, my question from before, not meant to discredit you at all, but simply a curiosity. How can Kirk, who was from the Hawaii SPCC swear you in as an Agent in a NY SPCC. My understanding is that each SPCC is an independently owned and operated corporate entity...functioning under the same state laws of course. So, I am curious how a Hawaii official can swear you in as NY SPCC. These are not federal programs, they are state programs subject to state law so my assumption would be that you would need to be sworn in by a NY State SPCC employee.

On a side note, though you did not ask me specifically, I have travelled to Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, Thailand, Nepal, Canada, a host of western European countires, many spots in the Caribbean.

Like I said....you missed the post....I specified that the branch that I was working in covered the westchester/bronx area.....scroll back.....if you look hard enough, youll find it.

Wow....thats a lot of vacationing....some pretty interesting places. How did you like Thailand if I might ask > I had a friend take a trip there and raved about what a great time he had and I was thinking of taking a trip there myself. I also have a very close friend who took a trip to Nepal with his GF.....what were youre thoughts on nepal ?

As far as the SPCC question goes.....as you already know, Master Kirk was the Chief of the SPCC in the state of Hawaii, and we also began filing the necessary paperwork for the NY state area as well. When he swore me in initially, I was under the jurisdiction of the hawaii SPCC, and my function at that point, ( as I mentioned he lived with me for months at a time) was to assist him in all of the paperwork associated with his cases and ongoing investigations. When his NY paperwork went through, thats when we ( and I ) had jurisdiction in the westchester/bronx area. This was quite some time ago so I cant give you an exact date, but if memory serves me correctly, I believe it was sometime in the mid 90's. Since he handled all of that paperwork, I really cant give you any details about it because I simply dont know the details, but the year, as I said, was roughly the mid 90s.....I remember that we were active prior to my NiDan test in 96.

I would presume sig p229's, as for the m-4 i presume you mean a Ar-15 with teloscoping butstock chambered in .223 cal, and what class of vest?

                        Thnaks Knifehand1.

Honestly, I was in Thailand for 2 days anfter a month in Nepal. I had montozuma's revenge and never left the hotel!

Nepal was great. I was working there on a UN Grant for Child Health Assessment (I also spent 8 years working in Pediatrics - hence my spcc interest). My research was published in Children's Hospital Quarterly. I was in Nepal shortly before the recent fall of the parlaiment a few years back. Things there are bad now...and it was plain to too see coming when I was there. The Maoist Revolution was gaining speed at that point. I was there for a big bombing in Khatmandu and a few serious communist rallies. I was scheduled to go back and visit friends, but after the Royal took over, I cancelled my trip. Things are calmed down a bit, but still kinda hairy over there. Outside of that, the people are great, the country is beautiful!

For anyone interested, I went to Staples, got all of my certs scanned, and I will download them on my MySpace site shortly. That would be my 1st Dan through 6th dan in Goju, and my Aikido, CC JuJitsu, and CQB certs. I also scanned the cert from the White Plains Police Dept as well. Just for the record, that award was given to me for catching a rapist literally mid act with an unconcious girl, and my testimony got him 12 years. I have the newspaper article for that as well. That was in the local westchester paper, I dont have the date, but the article was written by Jonathan Bandler, who can be reached at jbandler@thejournal news.com. His phone # as listed in the article is 914-694-3520. The prosecuting attorney was Michelle Lopez, ADA for westchester county.

Standard issue Police vest, but my old one had the steel plate which caused ricochets, my new vest has the soft plate to gaurd against that.
