Iraqi special forces badass?!?

Greetings,
as part of my job as a TV journalist I interviewed an Iraqi Kurd living in Slovakia (about the manner in which Saddam Hussein was executed) and he made some claims about him being a member of an elite Iraqi special forces unit. It's supposedly called "Farkha al Kital" or something like that, which should mean "Assassins". Couldn't Google it up though. Right now I have no idea if he's honest, telling half-truths or full of BS and fantasizing.

Any of you military guys has some knowledge about Iraqi special forces under Saddam?
I'm still in contact with this guy and I'll try to get some more details that could be proven/disproven later, but I thought maybe some of you could help me out with info/experience - with Iraqi special forces in general or with people who used to serve there but went to live abroad after the US-led invasion.

This guy made several claims, which I'm trying to check:
- to have served 2,5 years as body guard for Qusai Hussein.
- He said he has a number burnt onto his back, like all his buddies from this unit, though up to this point I did not undress him to see.
- He has this strange scar on his right ear, saying that it was one of the first things he had to suffer when his army training started when he volunteered as a 12 yrs old boy - they cut through the cartilidge of the ear with pliers.
- was trained to "efficiently use 10 weapons + knifes" and "to kill a person within a minute" (with bare hands).
- allegedly took part in Iraqi covert operations including poisoning opposition Kurds in Europe with sleeping drugs and flying them back to Iraq under false death certificates
- has had at least 2 plastic surgeries made on his face but still "they'd kill me the moment I'd step into Iraq"

That's all that comes to my mind right now, thanks for the input and I'll post more details as I'll get the from him...

Here's a random guess at the Arabic spelling for the word you're looking for:

فرخ الكتال

I could easily be wrong, simply because there are so many different ways of spelling a word that sounds like that. The "i" sound could be a long or short vowel, the K sound could have been more gutteral, making it a q instead of a k, the first word could be feminine, etc. All of these things would change the spelling. Regardless, neither one of the words is familiar to me. However, if you can get the Arabic spelling for the word, I can probably find out for you.

Besides, he's full of shit. He might have done some of the things he talked about, but I doubt it.

Well, if the way the Republican Guard rolled over during Desert Storm is any indication of the "mad skillz" of the former Iraqi military, I'm not impressed by his claim of membership...

Bodyguard for a psychotic, murderous tyrant. Yeah, that's something I'd publicize, as it's bound to get me tons of chicks that are into wearing burkas and having their rights violated.

Read: "to kill a tortured, broken prisoner within a minute (with bare hands)." Given their performance in ousting insurgents, and their aforementioned inability to resist American forces in either Gulf War engagement, I'm not too impressed with their ability to "efficiently use" anything other than torture devices on helpless prisoners or their running shoes while turning tail and retreating from a superior force...

Ya think??? I'm sure this turd is someone "free" Iraqis would love to get their hands on... Fucking thug is all he is, was, and likely could be. He bought into Hussein's group to guarantee some small degree of safety and so he could abuse, torture, and violate others so as to elevate his position from "worthless dirt farming fuck." It's too bad you can't hand him over to some of those Kurds (or their families) so they can exact a little medieval justice on his miserable ass...

Special forces things are always in the air. When I rotated through the Veteran's Affair's Hospital, there were some people who's military records are impossible to attain. You know they were military to receive benefits, but with regards to military info on them, its like they never went through the system. Scary stuff, or maybe I was just not good at looking.
