    ACIMA

    Hey all,

I tried searchin the forums here and found nothin on this ACIMA thing. I heard of it on another internet site and (heres a really shit clip: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...270145&q=ACIMA) was wondering is there even 1 mma fighter trained in this art and can it possibly be practical? I mean just look at the stance ...
anyway, does anyone know or practice this art?

It looks like Keysai...with the opponent kinda freezing after every "attack". It sounds like you already have your opinion..which seems to be valid..

If I were to judge it from the website, I would say it looks like 2 kids with some basic martial arts experience got bored and decided to start their own style based on stuff they partially understand or read on the net.

yeah pretty much but I didn't want to judge a whole system based on one crep video or one weak website. I was actually hopping someone practised this martial art and could show me another site ... (i already saw that one before posting this thread) or else sparred against an ACIMA lad. Although some of the elbow techniques seemed semi valed (and very reminiscent of Thai techniques) their stance leaves em completly open to body shots. Its almost like they're tryin to not get hit rather than attack someone.
