This is being cannabalistic in a way LOL

Yep, I'm showing what alot of you guys are seeing as Kenpo, I don't. I'd like to see them change the name of what they're doing so they don't associate it with what I do (EPAK), any suggestions?

Not a bad start, but I cringe of the idea of grabing the lip. Willngly putting your fingers near someones mouth, especially inside it, is a high risk manuever.

So does Kenpo contain grappling now? did it before? I'm confused.

Why do the crappling sequences always have to start with a really bad takedown?

If I'm not completely mistaken, body lock trips are completely valid takedowns.

Why are you guys so hard on this clip? If you're training ground grappling for self defence you'd better be aware of how to use "girl fighting" to your advantage.

This spelling error in his bio is hilarious however.

It is but that's not what he did. Even if he did the rest of it his form sucked ass. Seriously if you can't tell that that was a crappy takedown don't bother critiquing the rest of it.

Furthermore jumping guard in a real situation could get you knocked out. What Jeff is doing here is trying to put a competition JJ move into self defense. Tell me this, when was the last time you saw someone jump guard in an MMA event?

Jumping guard is more or less a BJJ competition tactic as the rules do not allow slamming the opponent down when he jumps to your waist or just punching him in the face as he tries to pull you to the ground.

In the 4 competitions I have been in I have had this attempted on me and usually I can push back and get into half guard or pass when it is attempted.

I don't use this technique as I don't like fighting from the guard unless I have to.

about 6 months ago i was grappling with a training buddy, guy who is umm.. weird. anyway, he decided he was going to be a smartass and cup my mouth (against our gym rules, but ok), so i open my mouth and bite down on his finger. that got him very very distracted. take that for what it's worth.

um.....huh.....well, the lip grab and throat crush are nice ke*po touches and topping it off with a double face foot/scrape when getting up off of the opponent is a perfect Ke*po ending.

As for the *appling and SD utility of jumping guard in a street fight.....it obviously fails to take into consideration broken glass and lava.

Yaknow, for what it's worth from a grappling noob such as myself, some ideas were'nt to dumb, but they were lost in a sea of crappling and deadly eye pokes.
Grabbing lips? Jumping from kneerides? Stomping from mount? WTF?
I also got to add that the cartoonish ending with the "opponent" falling over with delay from a backknuckle was just fucking ridiculous.
