Atleast he put it in the right section of the forum ... becouse this is first rate performance Bullshido .

I understand that it's a demo to show how focused and totaly ready to kick ass the North Koreans are ... but damn it , guys with Ax's would have been more impressive . Maybe some double hachet kata/breaking demos or something ...

I don't get it, is he calling his own style bullshido?

          Lets see:
          99% forms? Check.
Choreographed demos to demonstrate effectiveness? Check.
Vastly exagerating the effects of blows in said demos? Check.
          Unrealistic one step drilling? Check.
Breaking previously weakened, or already weak materials? (bricks, lol) Check.
          Incessant screaming? (sorry, kiai..) Check.
          Sparring? rofl.

Yup, pretty much qualifies! Thanks for bringing this up.

I'm embaressed for you Der, you shouldn't have to share an acronymn with these guys.

The sparring in the videos is a good demonstration of taekwondo sparring. It contains:
o falling down after attempt to kick
            o lowered guard
Which are the trademarks of taekwondo sparring.

The precision kicks were pretty fun to watch though. I wish I could kick like that.

in that third picture, if you aren't looking too closely, the guys holding the stick sort of merge into a giant... that was about as interesting as it got for me

And we wonder why the Japanese spanked us so hard...

No in all seriousness, for a TKD demo that pretty good. I mean think about your typical American shopping mall TKD demos. Least these guys seemed like they practiced their choreography and were in synch on their forms.

Oh geez their forms. The sine wave is international. I thought I was gonna get seasick all over my keyboard.

I liked the blindfolded start at the other end of the room and back handspring into a double flip break. That was cool, considering if she had messed up she would probably be beaten half to death...

Imagine the poor sonofabitch that is the NK TKD coach.

He's in the position of being personably liable to a drooling pyscho if he can't get the "national art" to perform.

                    That poor, poor bastard.

This is propoganda aimed at scaring Western governments out of messing with NK!

But seriously . . . I was in a bar the other night and there was this pile of guys that formed a human pyramid - cheerleader style - in front of me so I couldn't get at their friend. Man, I hope these guys will allow a round-eye like me in on their secrets. Had I seen this video prior to my encounter with the stucture of communist vengence, I would have been able to go AROUND the pyramid by breaking all the wood furniture and masonry in the way (furniture and structure weakened by a Jenny Craig pub crawl earlier in the night). Fuck, I'd like to give up all my worldly possessions and move to that barren NK wasteland to train TKD and cheerleading choreography.

*** Disclaimer - I admit that I can't jump over pile of people, so props to them for combining martial arts with track and field and cheerleading. Major props.

This one is invaluable in case you are ever attacked by a cirque de soleil team that aggressively forms a human pyramid.

I don't think muay thai has the anti-pyramid.

                          Is it?

                          Why haven't we invaded yet?

Edit: Wait, I remember. It's because of this isn't it.

All the same, I'd take those guys at my back in a fight than the South Korean WTF demo team, though there was that one hot chick on the team who's name I forget.

As for NK itself...this says it all::brave:

Don't buy too deep into the propoganda.

The Jonger is a lot smarter than everyone thinks. A whacko sadist eccentric, for sure, but not the fool Saddam Hussein is.
