"Subjectivism" is the quintissential sophmoric philosophy: it preaches selfish egotism. College kids learn that there is a theory behind being greedly self-centered little bastards.

      Most grow up.

It is a belief system tailor made for cults.

          The fantom elbow of doom!

Watching some Muay Thai with my bro right now. These fella's elbows look a bit different on a technical level...

          British Muay Thai > K-1

FSD doesn't even place any where.

Ayn Rand- why, dammit, why? What possible purpose does she serve other than as a gold standard in not thinking?

I can't believe people buy her shitty books.

Like many New Age books, they make people feel better about being selfish and solopsistic. They add the gloss of scholarship to the festering tripe of gross egotism.

Rational egoism sure is the suck.

Like fang shen do it can convince people to cling to delusions about themselves and the results of their actions.

I reckon Socrates was an MMA fighter. Here we see him after he was robbed of a title victory by corrupt offificals. He has oatmeal in that cup.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 'phantom elbow' come a few seconds later on the tape? Not that I've watched that garbage but I'm pretty sure its later.

Speaking of garbage, I was at the bar tonight (half of the reason for the late post, the other half is tall and brunette) and witnessed a fight. As per my friend's request I did not partake in the fun but got to see something interesting. After a heated exchange over a cute little blonde (okay, truth be told not very cute, but definitely blonde) the one gentleman made as though he was done with the fight and turned to back out, well as soon as he dropped his guard (FSD students are you paying attention?) His opponent delivered one of the nicer knees I've seen outside of the ring, right on the button. I'm not sure which 'close' this guy was attempting but I hope he knows a good dentist.

Anywho, must go duty calls. I have a little no-Gi grappling ahead of me. Hmmm, you know I think sJP is the type of guy to pass the guard and go to full mount, without ever realizing the benefits of repeated failed guard passes.

Good night kids, don't let mom and dad keep you up!

Well, with the ponytail, at least TKD Black Belt has something to hold onto. . . .

                            That's just mean!

But funny, The Seagull was not the 'brunette'. Although given the state of a friend last night we could have send him home with the Seagull and we might not have fingured out where is was for a while!

Now focus dammit! We have work to do.

                              Chi Sao

Not to take us to far away from TKD's guard passing abilities.

Don't forget they also do Chi Sao:

And I will again go on record. There is no amount of Chi Sao training available anywhere in the world that is actually going to be of any benifit in a fight.

And that includes the "I will trap your arms by hopelessly tangling myself in your arms" version that includes the "If I make a tough face maybe this crap will work:"

                                Thread supposedly dead

I was talking with a Fang Shen Do student today, and the studentd are being told by Pat , that this thread died after he posted his reply.

No mention was made to the students how Stephane was looking fo a fight.
