Shadow Beast I think I have been nice to you until now, but now this is going crazy.
Fang Shen Do is NOT A GOOD MA. I have been there for 5 years, and now for 5 months I have been doing an other MA and I have learned more than in those 5 years about real fighting.

I know there are some things in this world that work well for someone and not for someone else, but the lack of realism of FSD is universal.
If I drink acid and die of it, will you drink it too saying: "well he died of it, but maybe it won't do anything to me..."?

I know how you feel GH; I stepped away a little longer and another six pages popped up. Also, I've trained with them for much longer than 5 years so don't feel too bad. I too have had the world open up to me when I decided to leave.

Enhanced: I think your eyes are starting to open a little. You should listen to the people on here and go see what you are not learning. I've been where your at now, and felt the way you felt, but leaving was the best thing for me. I've grown so much since and have no regrets.

Shadow Beast: I take back what I said to you before that I'd answer your questions. The answers are provided here in the forum. I've lost what little respect I had for you when you started insulting individuals on here who know what they're talking about, including me. TKD, Askari, Green Hornet, String Fellow, etc... are all martial artists who can back up there claims and experiences. belts and tests are included up to brown (dont know if it was like that for you)

if your a member of the bbc, you can go to all the classes, weapons classes, sparring classes, and get i think 2 free seminars a year, thats about right (acording to the newest fsd rules/statement

i wonder if their are any seminars in the montreal schools? or only at the pagoda?

How does he know about the pagoda and its location, 2 free seminars, etc? It appears to me that he already knows the answers to his questions, and is only trying to score some late-night points for the future surfers who will search FSD and come across this thread. Ok, again, I am one person, my name is ken, i live in montreal, i have done and tried many arts (GOOD ONES) and i RECENTLY took interest in fsd, i am only starting tomorrow..

and fsd is not my favorite martial art, cause i havent tried it yet.

So the sifu was not even telling a current student all about a former student, but a prospective client? well, my respect for the organization just went waaay up.

i was upset at everyone else because i was just talking and asking questions, and they were being vulger towards me, but i did not bad mouth you, my questions were directed towards you and enhanced.

and i know about the pagoda and all that because of the cd-rom that they gave me when i signed up, has videos of the training camp, seminars, ect ect.

In basketball when you miss the basket and backboard completely people yell 'air ball'. I remember being at a Karate tournament with a few national team guys and us 'oo'ing and 'ah'ing in mock appreciation for the 'air kicks' that were scoring points with certain refs.

Do you suppose the Patenaude's have mastered the 'phantom strike' to such a level that they don't mind photographing it?

Hey Bummer,

I thought the same thing about shadow beast that you did. He knows more than he says he does and asks questions that have all been answered in this forum and in stringfellows article. I didn't think he's MP though, but often thought enhanced was because I heard MP use that word many times before. Also, MP is the only one who I think would be generally concerned about how to find the solution to this problem. This would mean getting to the bottom of why us students are fed up with their system and why we've experienced better elsewhere. Martin seems to be the guy who looks for solutions instead of focusing on the problem. All the questions enhanced is asking lead me to feel that he was MP. This is just a hypothesis though and I'm beginning to think that he may be a student like myself that has been with FSD for many years and was devoted. Only know he may be beginning to see what we're talking about and has raised questions in his mind as to why they do the things they do.

Well, when you're done retching from that read I would suggest I nice bit of mouth wash and heavy doses of reality. While I don't fault someone from making money as they see fit I'm once again stunned by the revelations that just fall into one's lap with a small bit of work.

I figure TMA could be real if we got rid of the BS in those quotes. I mean yes BJJ is effective. Really, BJJ is a a specialized set of fighting like xingyi for striking. In a sense BJJ is just as traditional as TKD or xingyI. Especially if you tie it to JJJ. The difference is BJJ stayed away from the BS philosphy which, was added later to all TMA. Jiu-Jitsu trains kicking each others asses and others like the real masters of old.

Now, remeber this doesn't include start up fees. This is just to use his name on your school. So, startup would run anywhere fron $50,000+. Where do I get this number well figure in the insurance, lease down payment, Utilities, phone, furnishings, and inventory this is ridiculous.

How is this cheaper than US Schools BBC? The US schools are cheaper because they are ANNUAL. That means if you quit you are out that years charge. Where as if you quit FSD you just lost as much as 4,000 in one year.


Hmmm 1500 dollars in a year interesting. I thought a few posters said this wasn't true.

This is actually a great article. They actually disprove many of the lies by FSD members on this thread.
