holy shit lol, yeah thats him, been a long time, he moved his school, so i dont know where he teaches anymore, lol..

and i dont want to talk about BJJ, and i understand that you think fsd is a waste of time, but i want to take it, i want to see for my self, my money is no object to anyone else, i have thrown much money away on trying arts, like i payed 300$ into wing chun, and stopped after 2 weeks (i said the story already, cause they got pissed that i didnt speak french)

    so thats not a problem.

i had my worries for fsd, i was worried about 2 things.

1: for the belts early on, you need to pay for seminars and training camp (meaning white, yellow, blue) realy worried me, but green hornet corrected that if i am correct.

2: i am still trying to figure out the BBC, if you pay for the bbc, that means you have access to weapons and sparring?

no one has to answer if they dont want to, but these are my 2 last things about fsd that have me wondering.

I agree with Askari with this one.

        Shadow Beast,

You are going to spend about $3,000.00 during the next year if you join Fang Shen Do. But as you said its your money to waste. If you want to learn how to fight there are much better places to go.

Just to correct you on something else, you trained in Nintai Ryu Aiki Ju-Jitsu. Anything with the word Aiki in, and as stated on your instructors website, it is not really Ju-Jitsu, but rather a derivitive of Aikido or Aikibudo. Different lineage. So you may want to make one more change to your BB.com profile and put in the real name of what you trained.

Since you trained in an Aikido derivitive I can see now how you have been missunderstanding what is and is not effective in a fight.

          1. you won't need to pay for the belts until brown belt.
          2. BBC gives you access to the sparring and weapon seminar for free, and somekind of a discount on the other seminars.

But for godsake I really disencourage you to join FSD.
I really think that you know all you need to see the truth, if you don't I guess you will have to learn the hard way, and that is by wasting your time and your money.
seriously if you are a real JJ BB you don't need them and you have certainly more real knowledge of the martial arts then them.

I am not sure i understand the last comment, are you saying that it is not a good martial art? sorry, i have a bad headache right now.

but lastly (if you know from personal expierence(sp))

how is it 3000$ would be for a year? meaning its 100% required to do all the extras, even at low belt levels?

            also thanks for the correction.

i know what you mean man, i just gotta see for my self, thats all..

thanks for the answers, but on my paper it shows classes in the timeslots for sparring and weapons, does that mean bbc gives the classes plus seminars? O.o

lastly, are the seminars at the school? or somewhere far like the training camp? lol sorry to be so annoying.

Shadow Beast, your instructor was an Aikido sensei.

                Andre Jacques Serai

Go and look in the "Your Martial Art Sucks" subforum and read about Aikido.

You are an Aikido Black Belt, not a JJJ one. Yes this can supperficially resemble JJ, but its not the same thing.

Do we really have to go through this whole process again? Or can you go and use the search function and read up on Aikido?

Edited to add: 300 posts and the last series with nearly 0 productive content.

WTF are you asking detailed questions about which classes you can attend?

Now you are giving me a headache.

regular students and BBC students go to the same weapon and sparring classes, its just that BBC students won't have to pay for them.
BTW a BBC should ring a big bullshido alarm in your head if you have been on this forum for long enough.
In my opinion there is only one BBC that you should pay attention to : http://www.bbc.co.uk/

I can think of several BBCs that I like to pay attention to, but they're all breweries.

The sheer amount of blatant stupidity so far on this thread from Shadow Beast is stunning. Does the short bus come to your door or do you get to walk to the corner? Also, as with other posters on this thread, I would recommend the following:

1.) Read the entire reply to your question before posting a reply. You come of as a fuckin' idiot if you don't. You haven't noticed a significant amount of self deprecation when it comes to my BB? I list Tae Kwon Leap as a style for crying out loud. Also in my verbal trouncing of you I indicated that I fought MMA, so I probably do more than just stand up and palm block (ps - we don't use those anyways).

2.) When one or more people are using an account please keep notes for each other to keep track of what each other says and to whom.

You know what, if you're too stupid to read the responses that have been put up by the other posters to people like Corvus and Enhanced then I'm sorry you're too stupid for me to talk to.

Go enjoy FSD, smell the dog shit, wear silk you bad ass Aikido black belt you....

                              TKD

PS - Green Hornet, not only does alcohol make you a better fighter (ala Jackie Chan in Drunken Master) but it makes you a better dancer (ala Jean Claude Van Damme in Kickboxer). With all the good things alcohol does, how can it possibly be bad?

                                Hi everyone,

Just wanted to unlurk for a sec to thank you all for a very informative and entertaining thread.

Aside from what some may say is typical kb warrior crap, it's been so amusing (spew beer through the nose amusing!) that I've read every page so far.

                                So have others it seems.
In fact I know it's helped a few people choose the MA training & school that's right for them, which is cool.

Gotta admit to a bit of a sick fascination though, checking out the interplay between those who delight in going through the dirty laundry while breathing deeply and those in the car with the square wheels who are congratulating themselves on the smooth ride.

                                This is most important!
Because it reminds me to STFU, get off my a$$ and go train.

So thanks again, all! please keep it coming....

                                Regards,
                                JB
