I have to agree Jack with the Quebecers that "eye of the tiger" has been around a little too long with FSD, but I must admit that I still have a soft spot for Rocky and that song. I still think someone should walk down the UFC alley to that song; it would be hillarious, yet brave.

I like the fact that they play music during stations with FSD but really need to change their play list. I had a great suggestion once for them but they never cared to listen to me. Somehow they didn't think I was qualified to give them advice on how to improve moral. I ironiclly received the comment that "tradition along with those songs ignite a feeling and help to anchor the no quit attitude in the students."

No seriously wagamichi, I was making light fun of Shadow Beasts so called MMA record of him and his buddies getting together to spar. Good luck on your legitimate MMA bout though.

    Cheers! My missunderstanding. thats funny

Turns out some of them were former fsd students
and this song was always on during part of the class.
Seems the playlist never changed and everyone grew totally sick of it,
    hence the reaction.

    When I mentioned this thread some of them became *VERY* interested;
    (consumer protection agency related stuff?)
A lot of French speaking people here in MTL apparently don't know about this thread,
but that might change pretty soon.
    Stay tuned...
I hope we see some French-speaking canadians posting (acutally there might alread have been some.....), because I imagine they are capable of the same scorn and derision my lovely euro-neighbours are. Let more attacks on FSD commence- no, 110 pages is not enough......

"ca ne va pas la peine" Its not.....? sorry guys but my french is the suck Translation please?

    Eye of the tiger??!

    hence the reaction.

So of course I asked them about fsd and heard stuff like:
    - how fsd turned out to be way less than what people were lead to believe,
    - expensive
    - overcrowded classes,
    - no live training,
    - constant & aggressive pressure for more money,
    - forced testimonials from students
    - leave your brain at the door when you enter fsd world,
    and so on.

They all said that they were much happier now in other schools.
Better atmosphere, learned more, paid less.

This of course started a discussion about *which* school was
best, what was most important in a martial art/artist, how about pure self defense,
BJJ vs RBSD, only a pussy would ask a question like that,
oh yeah well step up bitch, how 'bout another beer first,
a "heart attack close" works better if you flash your breasts,
oh yeah prove it, etc. etc.

...but there was general agreement that people should give fang shen do
& the patenaude crowd a wide berth.

"ca ne va pas la peine" as they said.

What we did was we made it a mixed martial arts federation, but not mma like that crap you see in the ufc, hugging on the ground and such, no, it was called mixed martial arts because we had art v.s art, like TKD v.s boxing, ect, and some people had more then 1 MA in their arsenal (like me)

What is the same between Frank Dux and Pat Marcil (FSD)?

They both claimed to fight in Bloodsport.

Apparently Fang Shen Do is becoming so popular that MMA fighter's are now flocking to it in droves. The exciting thing is that soon you'll be seeing the 'Heart Attack' close in Pride!

Fedor does something very similar except he makes it look like a double leg. He's just that good!

    TKD

Hmm, we just had Hammer House vs. Team Gracie, you think we'll ever see SokeJP vs anyone other than other men in a washroom?

I swear this stuff seriously writes itself!

Oh this thread is awesome! I always think I've heard it all and then low and behold more stuff appears.

Well I can most definitely confirm that Pat is extremely aggressive. There are some issues there mentally. He solves all problems with his fists. Apparently his grandfather was like this also, always fighting in bars, doing some jail time etc... Hearing about his family you understand why he is as aggressive and blinded as he is. He has very little patience, an incredibly hot temper and very little reasoning or rationality skills. It's funny that Feng shen do claims how advanced they are when really they are traditionalists living in the past wishing it was the wild wild west, or better yet wild wild east.

I need to ask Corvus and others a question regarding Corvus' post. I'm not sure what they we're trying to do with having you all crawl on the floor Corvus, but which were you - a hunter, or tiger? To the others, which one would you be? I know I'm a tiger, never had much use for the hunter. Although, he has a gun! Ha Ha Ha, I think I'd rather be the mythological Fire Dragon personally. I think I would of told sifu x that! "Sifu, I"m niether - I'm a fire dragon so don't fuck with me!" And then I'd growl and drewl looking as evil and demented as I could.

    Faking a Heart Attack

Does anyone have any video of the fake "heart attack defence"?

Now its mostly for the humour factor but here's a guy who used the heart attack defence.

    Link to story
    According to the complaint:

Aguilar grabbed the man in a "bear hug" and said, "If you don't give me $100, I'm going to kill everyone in the house."

The victim repeatedly told Aguilar he had no money, but when it became clear Aguilar wasn't giving up, the 88-year-old man "feigned a heart attack." The victim's glasses fell to the floor. He asked the attacker to pick them up, and when Aguilar did, the victim ran to the door and shouted for help.
Or you can buy these electric underpants to fake the heart attack (sorry no pics of the pants):
Electric Underpants Used To Fake Heart Attack
It's amazing the lengths some scammers will go through to fake injuries from various companies. Along the lines of the woman who planted a severed finger in her bowl of chili, comes this story of a guy who sued the maker of an iron, claiming it was wrongly wired to give him a heart attack. While it appears that the man most likely rewired the iron himself, he also put an electronic device in his underwear to trick hospital equipment into suggesting he had a heart attack. Of course, now that all of this has been worked out, the guy is in a bit more trouble than if he had just had a heart attack from a faulty iron. You'd think, with the lengths people go to in order to scam the system, that perhaps they'd just be better off putting that same effort into legitimate work.

Well that confirms the attacking the drunks story- abd the fleeing his buddies part too.

Have to say that it is fairly easy to beat up a drunk, even with no MA training at all.

Sorry for the delay. Work, as you know, gets in the way of life.

From a reliable witness, who, is not in any way related to MA, a construction worker out for a (OK many) beer with his buddys, on the last day of work before Christmas.
Buddy goes to washroom, everyone feeling no pain. They start missing their friend so, one of them goes looking. Find hin with broken jaw, broken ribs, broken arm & dislocated shoulder. All this compliment of a supposedly "BOUNCER" named Pat. This was the name used by other bouncers to address this particular as..... OOPS guy. Being a FSD student at the time, I got curious and showed pictures of Pat Marcil to my contact and the answer was: "If that ain't him, it's his twin."
Of course everybody could be mistaking. Thes burly gentlemen dorve thier busted up friend to the hospital, then came back to repay the favour, but all they saw wa this Pat fellow leaving by the back door
I'll just throw this in as a bit of a personal experience type thing. There is only two types of people that hang around in the men's washroom at nightclubs/bars. You're either in their looking lonely (and looking for lovin') or you're in their selling. I'm sure we've got enough bouncers (and former bouncers) on this thread to confirm that assessment. Kind of makes me wonder why Pat was hanging around the men's room?

I don't even have to make 'the ghey' jokes anymore, they make themselves!
