Isn't it ironic? That someone who calls himself Dictionary69 would have reading comprehension problems:read2:

Ok, Krackie, this is a completely new line of search for us. What do you know that we dont know?

CDNRonin, LOL. I was just re-reading some of his posts and thought a similiar thing, you beat me to the post. Anything more on the comparison of the various books?

Link back to large article about Fang Shen Do for those that havent read it yet.

And a note that it is now the second google hit after the Fang Shen Do mainpage.

Guys guys, lets be rational here! IF a FSD high ranking instructor was involved in an altercation of the physical kind his or her opponent would have been vaporized by the meer gathering of the psychic chi forces!

        Silly, really silly.....

This is Shawarma, once again requesting that evidence of the sifus winning MMA matches be posted.

At this point, I personally believe that they might have evidence of these fights, but that they realize that it wouldn't hold up under careful scrutiny of the online MA community and would cause their claims to be debunked.

I got distracted by some recent arrivals(1st edition From Russia With Love, a 1922 Ju Jitsu for Girls(with Girl Guides!) and a 1934 reprint of a circa 1910 Canadian boxing manual by Tommy Burns). I was also thinking that perhaps someone with a better Wing Chun background might be better qualified to compare the two books. I have someone in mind, but haven't asked him yet.

2nd google hit? Must piss people off that pay for their advertising.

Yah, um this supposid event was discussed a few pages back. A few names were tossed around and (with the help of Askari) we debunked that pretty quickly. I think what we have here is a couple of sifu's entering a Tough Man show and calling it MMA.

                  Bullshido wins at the Internet.

Hmm... gives me an idea for the new name for Trollshido.

Alright, let's take these one at a time, shall we?

Have you lost your mind my friend? You have made claims of cult and many other things but the fact of the matter is that you were a student for about 4 years!! What happened in that time ,nothing good is what your saying but you stayed for 4 years?? I was a student for a few years aswell but I was happy about my training and opposite to you well i asked questions that were on my mind about combat and got the answers from the instructor without hesitation and plenty of one on one training in grappling and sparring and didn't have to pay for these services I guess you were just not up front enough with the instructor that you trained with and that makes you kind of stupid if you ask me for not getting your moneys worth.
Ok, the run-on sentences are going to make this a little harder than I thought. I'll tackle these two at once. Firstly, as I noted in my article, my experience with the cultish aspects of Fang Shen Do were such that they tended to creep up on you over time. I'd say that for the first two years of my training that I was happily drinking the kool-aid and would extol the virtues of FSD to anyone who would listen. Hell, for while I was friggin' Neo(1)- they wanted me to open my own school. I saw things that bothered me, like having to pay for things that I had previously been led to believe were covered by my fee, but I dismissed them as being one-off situations. When it came to asking questions, I always got answers to the combat-oriented ones and for awhile I happily accepted them. But as time went on those "one-off" situations kept occurring, and some of the questions could never be answered satisfactorily (see my bit about the 5 types of speed in the article).

As for one-on-one grappling and sparring, I call bullshit. At most I could ask a quick question or two after class. Anything more and I'd be told to schedule a private lesson ($100 for a half-hour, if I remember rightly). If you were getting anything more than that, then you were getting special treatment. As a BBC member, I had access to a certain number of "free" private lessons per year. I actually used one once. It lasted for about 10 minutes.

Ah, so you mastered it all in two years, eh? I guess I'm just slow. Either that or you set your goals very, very low indeed. In any case, I call bullshit. Give us the real reason, if there is one.

I addressed the issue of resources already and as for my experiences I stand by them. Otherwise, I'm searching for the point in this diatribe but cannot find it. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what you are trying to elucidate here.

You've trained in the same classes as me? How can you be sure? There have been some propositions made as to my identity but I have never addressed them, for reasons that I don't have to explain to anyone who has been a "netizen" for any length of time. Which school did you attend? I could perhaps confirm or deny that much.

However, I can attest that I was robotic. There was always so much emphasis on perfecting form that it was hard not to be, frankly. Now that I'm in a more practical program that gives me the freedom to trust my instincts once again, I can assure you that I've become much less robotic. It is difficult sometimes trying to unlearn those things that I picked up over those years, but my instructor is a patient man.

I'll settle for a proper answer to my first one. Otherwise, since you seem to understand Fang Shen Do so well, perhaps you can take a stab at answering some of the questions that I've posed back in post #205. I still don't believe your story and I still think that your an instructor posing.

                      (1) Do I lose points or something or does everyone have to drink now that I've made a Matrix kung-fu reference? Is there a Bullshido drinking game?

                        Dear stringfellow,

Do you really think this will affect the school? As I read the pages on these threads all that I see is a few people keeping it alive. I think there is about 10 in there that just want to pump up the numbers and I have read some pretty silly stuff on here. I still speak to some of the instructors at the school and with over 2000 students I don't that 10 unhappy boys is that bad. As for your training at the school well martial arts is not for everyone and I really think that you should retire and I really hope you are getting better because you will need it very soon.

No. After finally leaving your school, I'd say his martial arts training is set to take off. By the way, internet threats are for pussies.

You realize you are the one that brought this thread back to life?

Ask Oom Yung Doe/Chung Moo Quan how much the internet hurt their business.
In the 2 years I've been on the anti-moo yahoo group at least 20 students have left.
Those are just ones that type. At least 7-8 schools have closed which is very telling. This is a yahoo group not an easily accessed website like Bullshido.

Throwing numbers around is BS. So, you still train or were you to embarassed to admit this little fact?

What?!? Dude, just come out and say it, Stringfellow you hit it on the head. This is an instructor or buddy of.

Dictionary69, why don't you contact your FSD buddies and ask who's willing to put his money where his mouth is? I'm sure there are enough of us 10 year old boys to find someone who will get in a ring. Although Ontario doesn't have a commission yet there are sanctioned fights in Quebec and the maritimes as well as Manitoba to BC.

Instead of making lame threats on a bulletin board you have one of two choices:

1.) Stringfellow has asked a quetion, answer it.

                                2.) Get in the ring.
