Um. My first thought is...well, that's pretty stupid. Sijo responds to a body armour clad guy with Limp-wristed no-contact Palm Strike to spinning back kick. Wtf is wrong with this picture...surely he should be using a direct attack aimed for the throat or groin instead of the defensive padding? I thought this was the Way of Survival.

I think sJP is waving his hand petulently as if to say "I dont want to fight."

This being particularily convincing after already adopting a fighting stance.

Wow. I am by no means a 10th dan Soke, nor even someone who is such a radiant light to the entire martial arts community(though I do expect a recently discovered solar system to be named in my honor), but I can spin kick better than that, and as a technique it sucks. What will TKD Blackbelt have to say about this?

I was talking with a Fang Shen Do student today, and the studentd are being told by Pat , that this thread died after he posted his reply.

No mention was made to the students how Stephane was looking fo a fight.

Interesting. That means that at least some students are openly talking about it. And Pat's doing damage control, which is to be expected.

I can just see it now. Dozens of guys in pony tails and silk robes faking heart attacks and disinterest in the fight just to perform a secret 'close' like that SNL skit about the Ninjas.

Ran into two of their older people yesterday...one said that when he quit they sent a letter to threaten him 'saying he could run but not hide" another who runs his own small school here in Ottawa said that he would not talk about it to anyone..sad....but it`s his call...he teaches JKD/Kali and Jiu-Jitsu now.....and when my buddy asked him about training in Jiu-Jitsu he said to go to Ronin or Bob carvers..Carver is with Erik Paulson(CSW) I guess..he said he`d heard the guy at Ronin was talented..it was nice to hear an ex student of theirs talk highly about another school...and he himself has had a bunch of BJJ training..yet he tells my buddy to go to Ronin where they focus on it..class act....
I guess some of the legit Wing Chun people in Ottawa have had huge probs with the FSD bunch too..been told they sent out people to other schools to try out classes to learn how they operate their schools and such..and how they sent out goons to intimidate the Wing Chun schools here in the early 90`s etc...man oh man....
Even to one guys home......??????????

THESE PEOPLE ARE PURE THUGS AND THE FACT THAT THEY ARE USING MARTIAL ARTS AS THEIR VEHICLE TO DO THEIR DIRTY WORK IS OUTRAGEOUS.....

Was this when Shadow Beast told me off? Oh, oh I know it was when Enhanced was asking questions, or maybe when Dick69 was asking around. Hmm, I'll have to go back over the thread again and try to remember where the thread died again.

I wonder if this is how FSD fights? "Well technically I was winning until the fight started..."

Ah, Jacques you know I'd like to say I enjoy our little talks but truth be told you guys never answer my questions. Well at least not right away. You all sit down in the pagoda with a dictionary and try to understand the big words that some on this thread use. Perhaps, if like this, we try to speak in small easy to use words we'll get a quicker reply.
