Hi. You are reading an archive of the legendary Bullshido forums, from 2002-2020. Please visit our NEW and (arguably) improved forums at https://forums.bullshido.net.
(Or don't, this is just an announcement and nobody's holding a gun to your head.)
I give you yet another clickable thumbnail this time of the "hesitating close."
This one is what one grade 5 student teaches to his buddy the grade 3 student as the absolute pinacle of martial cunning.
Dont laugh, I remember learning this in grade 3. As a nine year old, I thought this was amazing.
I think I sprung something in my head trying to figure out what was being demonstrated .
Seriously .. what the fuck did I just watch ?
:eatbabies
I still harbor suspicions that Askari is actually a FSD instructor in disguise! See, by being profoundly distrustful of everyone I'm able to maintain my distance and subjectivity!
NOOO, you have seen through my double blind ruse. I aim to remove and replace sJP as the cult leader. Do I get a harem? You know, I have thought this whole thing could be an inside job, hey sJP - maybe your talking to me right now.

Stephan Kesting is a seriously well respected guy with regards to BJJ/JJ. I've learnt a tonne from his weekly news letter. Enhanced you'd do well to read over Grapple Arts page for info.
Relax, yes this is a thread dedicated to FSD and the people here do get a bit upset (myself included) when idiots come on looking for the 'thread drift'. If you're serious start a thread and ask around. Also check out MMA.tv for the Canadian fourm for clubs in your area. You should find something that works for you. For me, if I was in Ottawa I'd be at Ronin, but that's just me.
Also please note that the Ayn Randers on the thread got seriously attacked. The sifu's quotes (and similar Am-Way and Robbins-esque info) was clowned to death.
You won't make friends by suggesting 'eating of dick'. Looks like you've been hanging around with a certain Sifu who likes to hang out in men's washrooms too much.
I did'nt see you react like this when everybody was talking about Ayn Rand.
Fucking hypocrite.
You'll notice people were talking about an FSD poster arguing a la Ayn Rand, and the similarites between her ideas and those of Fang Shen Do and the reasons the two were shit. And those people are unlike you in that they deserve consideration. No hypocrisy there.
I won't be eating any dick- just because you like Sijo's cock in your mouth, doesn't mean everybody else should bat for the other team.
Any thoughts on the video footage? We'd love to hear your thoughts on them. Or any other FSD issues. If not, fuck off.
Brazillian jiujitsu > traditional stand-up grappling styles of japanese jujutsu
Easy. Needless to say, either of the two are better than Fang Shen Do.
If you have questions on the subject of jujutsu or BJJ, or any other grappling questions make a thread or post in the Department of Homeland Security. Aesopian and Shuma-Gorath will take good care of you.
Good attempt at the thread drift. Just BTW if you aren't posting about Fang Shen Do on the FSD thread , fuck off somewhere else. Right now.
Alright alright.
Actually I have'nt chosen a new art yet.
Right now I'm reading a few books:
Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Submission grappling by Royler Gracie with Kid Peligro.
It's very interesting. Each page starts off with a paragraph about the technique they are showing then for each step of the technique there is a nice clear picture and a deatiled explaination beside it.
Japan's Ultimate martial Art - Juijutsi Before 1882 The Classical Japanese Art of Self-Defense.
There is quite the difference in the two styles Japanese vs. Brazillian.
Plus I have a few JKD books that I'm going over.
How do you compare the Japanese to the Brazillian Ju jitsu?
Woah woah woah!
What is wrong with me asking questions?
Absolutely nothing. I still harbor suspicions that Askari is actually a FSD instructor in disguise! See, by being profoundly distrustful of everyone I'm able to maintain my distance and subjectivity!
You know I love you, I'm just disappointed in your style choice. Come, here let me give you a big hug!:love3:
TKD
I gotta run to the chiropractor, I'll break down the HA close this afternoon!
Was this when Shadow Beast told me off? Oh, oh I know it was when Enhanced was asking questions, or maybe when Dick69 was asking around. Hmm, I'll have to go back over the thread again and try to remember where the thread died again.
I wonder if this is how FSD fights? "Well technically I was winning until the fight started..."
Ah, Jacques you know I'd like to say I enjoy our little talks but truth be told you guys never answer my questions. Well at least not right away. You all sit down in the pagoda with a dictionary and try to understand the big words that some on this thread use. Perhaps, if like this, we try to speak in small easy to use words we'll get a quicker reply.
Toodles,
TKD
Woah woah woah!
What is wrong with me asking questions?
A few years back at a TKD tournament I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Paul Jermaine fight. For those of you who don't know him, he revolutionized TKD fighting and really started to push TKD towards what is now K1 style of fighting. Very aggressive style.
Anyways, Paul is in the ring with this guy who keeps doing what sJP is doing on his side step, lead hand down head low. Paul looks at him and shakes his head and taps his own head, letting the guy know that he sees the head. A few seconds later the guy does it again (apparently he did a free FSD class :dontknow:) So once again Paul taps his head and this time motions for the guy to lift his.
Well the third time this guy drops his head, trying to cut the angle Paul does warn him and lets loose with a set of kicks to the head that KO the guy.
Here's the moral of my little story. sJP, I might be playing games to!
Flaw #3 (I think I've only identified three so far) of FSD:
Assuming your opponent is dumber than you. Another massive flaw in FSD and a very dangerous one to perpetuate in a self defense setting. This leads to people getting injured or worse.
TKD
PS - Sorry Jacques no notes today, I hurt my back grappling yesterday. I did still manage to submit the guy with a gogo-plata off of a failed triangle though. Not bad, I can get hurt and still fight. Maybe after your big hug, I'll show you a nice little trip take down to triangle from mount.
That if someone tries one of these closes they will get their collective asses kicked.
Closing on the half step (another clickable thumbnail - too many toys).
I particularily like the drunken monkey movements in this one.
Bare with me a little here:
