These guys strike me as being taught by someone who did Kung Fu or what have you, bought a Richard Van Donk home study course, got to Shodan and thought "What the fuck, I'm in Iran, there's no other x-kan instructors here, I'll just add a bunch of made up shite to the Buj curriculum to make it more NINJA~!"

Fucking goofs. I'm sure those videos would make Takamatsu spin in his grave. :P

Let's play where did you nick some of that form from?

So far I reckon I can see a bit of Ditan Quan (ground boxing), Hou Quan (monkey boxing) , Juijiu Quan (drunken boxing), Hung Gar but thankfully no Capoeira that would take it to an all new low.

A thought re: the trifecta: the ultra trifecta would be Shaolin JKD Ninjas, combining the ultimate Martial Marketing tools of Shaolin Monks, Bruce Lee and Ninjas. There'd be no stopping them. :P

I once saw an all girl Japanese Breakdance Crew (B-Girls) all about 5 foot high doing really cool moves.

Also I don't think those Iranian ninjas can be real because I own this secret ninja training scroll that I learn all my moves from:

what in the name of Allah is going on here??

MA in Iran is a big deal though. They even have their own UFC going on. If the country ever becomes 'free' - they will be full of good combative Martial Artist. This is not a good example.

Ah you only have ONE of the scrolls. At one point I owned all 6 which featured each sensei demonstrating the NINJA use of their chosen weapon plus two others.

Also note this same company publish another two part NINJUTSU comic as well as RONALD REAGON'S COMMANDOs, I think they did a Stallone comic as well.

I do have No 3 Donatello-Bo and No. 4 Raphael-Sai, but have found no trace of the other legendary scrolls so my art is incomplete. Indeed there is an advert in the back of issue 1 for the forthcoming (in 1986) "Ninjutsu The Art Of The Ninja The secret deadly fighting arts of the ninja - revealed at last!!!"

Ninjutsu in Iran was for the first time introduced by Kancho Akbar Faraji in 1989.

The only one I can think of is Khosrow Vaziri, AKA The Iron Sheik who, in addition to being a former WWF World Champ in pro wrestling, was also an accomplished amateur wrestler, and I think he either wrestled for or coached the Iranian wrestling team in the Olympics. He was also a bodyguard for the Shah of Iran at one point as well.

Edit: Just to clarify, doesn't mean that there aren't other tough Iranian MAists, just that the Sheik was the only one I could think of. :)
