Systema; my style better than your style, comrad!

    Hi
I first want to say that I haven't judged this MA by watching videoclips etc on the website: http://www.russianmartialart.com, I have actually bought (STUPID ME) some videos ('knife defence', 'hand to hand combat','holds releases and attacks', 'beyond the physical','strikes') and found them very disappointing.

Will All Your Sweaty Years of Training Save You in a Real Attack?

    ADMIT IT. YOU'RE NOT SURE.

You can now breathe a huge sigh of relief - SYSTEMA HAND TO HAND reveals the true way. Experts call it the most important contribution ever to the worldwide movement of life and combat training. It's that good!

strange advertisement for guys who can't take the discussion about'my style is better than your style' check out the forum; there a bunch of hypocrits and pseudointellectuals

checkout http://www.russianmartialart.com and expose the frauds!

    Looks like someone has a beef . . .

Oh well this was comic gold -

"This production includes an unprecedented BONUS feature - "DEFENSE FROM A CHAIN" - where Vasiliev shows you simple and spectacular moves against a real 40-inch chain."

    http://www.russianmartialart.com/cat...products_id=64

You know, like when those marrauding thugs complete with 40 inch chains roll up on your town like they do every teusday afternoon.

Okay I have tried to be fair to Systema before, but this claim is bullshit.

"Russian Martial Art looks absurdly simplistic. In reality, it's ruthlessly efficient. Vasiliev can fight off up to six knife-wielding attackers."

          What's wrong with that statement?

the problem is they have never showed against a realistic attack and I'm not talkig about full speed, just realistic attacks. The knife attacks are extremely predictable and overly telegraphed as with the punches, the attackers never attack without putting themselves in awkward and unstable positions http://www.russianmartialart.com/main.php?page=clips=>systema stikfighting is also a disaster I pesonally think

Just like every other Systema thread, Vlad could kill at least 90% of the people posting in it.

I watched teh vid...It was like some sort of bizarre breakdancing/pop & lock weirdness.

Is there any footage of Systema out there where an attack is unchoreographed and at speed?

(I have a feeling I won't liek the answer to that...)
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

I posted something along the same lines a few weeks ago and most of you actually flamed me for criticizing Systema. So I'm not going to even bother repeating what I think of them.

That would be the secret systema man train technique. It is unique to the style, but it holds it's roots in the ancient kung fu "interlocking tiger congo" style. Clearly the systema way is much more effective.

Is that performed to music? If so, what kind?
