My advice to those guys would be to find a decent martial arts school near them and just train there as much as they can. And then if they want to, study Ashida Kims material in there own time.

If he didn't want to build a cult of followers then why does he entertain the idiocy of weekend wannabes ninjas? And how can he teach pple the find something he knows little about?

As for your actual "studying of Ninjutsu in Japan", it's plain to see that you were an unknowing participant of white collar Ninjutsu. That is not your fault, but you must realize that you were as much a ninja as a student who studies Japanese history and Kendo is a samurai.

Or to give you an even better example, you were as much a ninja as a student who studies Greek history and some Jim Arvanitis "Pankration" is a Spartan warrior.
