I love the humans dont use all of thier brain theory. People always use this to imply that humans have special powers. Don't they realize that psychologists have proven that as BS a long time ago?

Let me tell you something, if you didnt use all of your brain you would die. If we didn't use something in our body, we would lose it to evolution like the appendix or the human tail. This especially goes for something that has supposedly not seen use since the beginning of mankind.

Telepathy and mental powers are the dream of a lazy man. The kind that invents televisions with remote controls, elevators and automobiles. God forbid that we would have to actually lift a finger to do something in this day and age.

I just had another thought, maybe what Chi was called in ancient times was actually Static electricity? maybe?

Good points Asia, I wasnt trying to use religion to backup a statement. I was using it as an example of things that cant be seen. Your right though Human beings arent designed to produce electrity, but we are damn good conductors of it. Electric Eels are a fish, part of the electric fish family (i can look up the exact time if so desired) they produce electricity through specialized block cells that channel and store their bioelectrical currents. Human beings are not made with these cells, your correct on that, but we do have bioelectricity. There are phenomemn (sp?) out there that we cant explain or can but not indepthly. Examples, humans use about 25% of their total brain compasity, some scientists believe the rest is stored in memory but upon taking brain waves samples from patients, only certain regions of the brain were effected when trying to recall events, ect. True to life Dim Mak is called Commotio Cordis in medicine. Its the spontaneous cardiac arrythmia (asystle) caused by a blow to the chest to which total cardiac death is 10-30 seconds. Is this caused by the blow to the chest? Yes, and no. If you are hit in the chest in the very very VERY (10microseconds eyes blinks once at 40-60mcs) short amount of time it takes your heart to reset to prepare for the next beat, you are dead. No ifs ands or buts about it. If your hit under the hyoid bone (adams apple) with a fair amount of force, your treache will close and you COULD affixiate.

As i said before, as for Chi being able to KO a person with just a touch, doubtful but you never know. IMO the Chi that can take life or KO someone with one touch goes into the same catagory as Psi abilities.

(on a personal note, IMO chi is the souls energy)

Nice THEORY Mr Class but unfortunately they hold little weight in actual reality.

To me Chi is the bioelectric/biothermal/biochemical energy released in (all organisms have atleast one of the 3 forms) our bodies when we move, think, talk, anything we do basically. If one could learn to "project" this like an electric eel does, then you could do some things. Ex. heating your hands up (a small example of this is when you rub your hands together rapidly) they get warm right? What if you could somehow learn to control and direct that heat to whatever part of the body you wish.
First off and electric eel (which is actually NOT in the eel family) is designed to generate and discharge electricity. Just like farious other organisms are DESIGNED with features to survive in their habitat. Humans are not designed to discharge electricity.

Second: Your hands get warm when you rub them together because of FRICTION HEAT GENERATION not bioelectrical or even biothermal energy.

Really, i think Chi is like telekenesis or any other Psi, ive never seen it, might exist might not. Just because you cant see it doesnt mean its not there, alot like God.
NEVER try to use Religion to back up an arguement such as this. You are in a LOSE/LOSE situation. There is NO WAY you can prove or disprove the existence of God by the very nature of the religious practices themselves. (ie FAITH) So ultimately is it an invalid point.

Pple question CHI because so many claim they can produce tangible effects with it, such as burning paper, smoke, etc. Yet they FAIL everytime it is tested. If I claim to be able to generate smoke by the sole means of my internal energy then a great way to prove it is to show a third party I can by washing my hands to show I am not using any chemical trickery and peform the feat. If i claim to beable to knock pple out without touching them then I should be able to go to almost any guy off the street (except those rascally BJJ athelets because they are resistent:D) and KO of them.

My investigations have lead me to find that chi can not be projected. It may sound shocking, but I assure you with reasonable accuracy, that it is true.

That instant smoke thing is kind of cool though. I am going to have to pick some of that up, have a little fun with the beginners.
