Is there a possibility you could reach out to him for a quote considering you already have an established relationship, and so he may feel less threatened then if a random person contacts him.

I really want to know how deep this rabbit hole goes.

If that's true, Paul made the correct decision for his school and the community. But....he's still claimin' that Machado black belt.

Talk about a juxtaposition on where to throw the shade.

    Good find. And well cited.

I raise you: Establishing pattern of conduct.

I.E. Rigan has been deceptive with his record. He may be deceptive about other things as well.

Though I will agree that the focus should be and remain narrowed on Rigan.

Rigan's endorsement of Systema. Rigan's inflating of his record and erasure of legitimate and recorded losses, establish a pattern of behavior in which it appears he is willing to forgo morality and honesty to make a buck.
Speculation without evidence should be left to YMAS, along with Rigan inflating his record, win/loss ratio, previous patterns of behavior, and capitalistic aims.

Let's keep this thread specific to the subject matter, predatorial threats and their enablers.

With evidence, cuz MABS, and not so much mental masturbation. Wasn't that why you created the other thread?

Ron Tripp was a skilled grappler, but by no means unbeatable (in Judo at least, I watched him compete quite a bit "back in the day"). He also was and I suppose is a very funny guy, as in sense of humor.

That he could lose a Sombo match to another highly skilled grappler is not surprising to me at all.

You should know better. Nobody reading this thread cares about Rigan Machado's record or martial arts abilities. I want to downvote you all sooo badly, but I'll hold my vengeance for another moment or two.

Go post that in the YMAS thread, dawgs. Better yet, admins can we move the shitposting about skillz over there? http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=126544

    Thanks, as always.

As I recall, Rickson went for a Kosoto Gari (probably on Ron's lead leg, and I call him Ron because I'm acquainted with him, but not for many years), which, as an experienced grappler, you know it not generally a good idea. Ron countered with a spectacular Uchi Mata for the "total victory".

As far as relative skill goes back then, I would have bet on Rickson winning a pure submission only rules match, and probably a IBJJF-type rules event. Ron was I believe a D-1 wrestler and I know a skilled judoka, so was a highly skilled grappler without a doubt.
