This could be a trolljob, but if it's not, it's one of the most insane things I've ever seen in the deep pool of insanity that is youtube conspiracy-videos. Some douchebag uses clips from random Jim Carrey movies to prove the existance of an interdimensional "jumproom".

Project Spaceguard
Clarke invented the fictional space study program which detects Rama, Project Spaceguard, as a method of identifying near-Earth objects on Earth-impact trajectories; it was initiated after an equally fictional asteroid "struck" Italy on September 11, 2077, destroying Padua and Verona and sinking Venice. The video uses this quote virtually word for word. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing turns out to be a montage of various Wikipedia entries and movie reviews.

The more times I watch it, the more I too become convinced that it's a troll job, and as such I must agree it is really excellent executed.

However, youtube comments like this kinda take the fun out of the whole thing for me:

there are semi intelligent beings able to control the masses and poke fun of them simultaneously in clever ways, and there are those who see this going on yet do nothing about it, the sheer resistance put up by those mezmered by the culture of flowing with the disinfo is astonishingly hateful towards the true light of wisdom which sees through the emotional mind control of the media. false prophets can only save these fools now, that's what they want, a logic bomb is what they'll get.

I just get reminded that there are people who believe shit like this to be "the truth".

The interesting thing about most conspiracy theories is that - while their proponents like to paint themselves as iconoclastic and anti-authoritarian - they actually give more credit to our "rulers" for being competent than anyone else. Bill Maher has a good counter to the 9/11 nuts: "We know the government was not behind it, because it involved planning, and it worked."

Rama movies coming?!?! That's absolutely awesome news. I'm a huge fan of the Rama series, read every book in it.

The video claims Jim Carey played "The joker" in Batman Forever while anyone unfortunate to have seen the movie knows he was "The Riddler". It is this small error in the first 40 sec. of video that assured me this guy is an idiot. How much research and preparation could he have done if he over looked this small detail?

Yeah. It's full of small errors just like that one, which combines into the giant trolling clusterfuck which is the video in its totality.

Another example: the chair in which Jim Carrey sits in Eternal Sunshine, isn't exactly an interdimensional travelling device either, although the narrator in the video claims that it is. It's designed to erase some his memories. Anyone who has seen the fucking trailer of the film knows that.
