    Codex Alimentarius

I've been emailed some conspiracy theory from a "concerned friend" about Codex Alimentarius.

From what I have been able to establish, Codex Alimentarius is a actual body that conspiracy nuts say are taking the role of world dominators (or somthing, Jalon take note) and are trying to kill most of us off through our food.

The "world dominators" role in this theory is taken up by W.H.O (world Health Organisation) and W.T.O (World Trade Organisation) The reasoning behind this is there are just too many of us and killing off most of us will solve the problems of the worlds elite. This plan was formulated apparently in the 1960s.
Anyway the first set of their grand master plan is to "make vitamins and herbs illegal".... Well the ones not sold by world dominating pharmacutical companies anyway.

Here is the official (World dominator) webpage (ie only the info "they" want you to know)
    http://www.codexalimentarius.net/web/index_en.jsp

Here is the conspiracy link I am reading at the moment:
    http://members.iimetro.com.au/~hubbca/codex.htm

And Here is a panic inducing youtube link
YouTube - Codex Alimentarius plan will result in 3 billion deaths

Anyway after you are done kissing your parsley goodbye, and eating your last non GM orange, Let us all bow down in praise and prayer of our new World Leaders.

Quite an apt username, considering the sbject of the thread you started, HUNGRY.

You sure you're not a sleeper agent?
Gain some credibility, and then peddle your anti-establishment filth?
        Nice ;-)

Codex Alimentarius: whilst their name sound like Space Marines, they are opposed by space cadets, herbalists and hippies.
Thus, I find in favour of the non-hippies.

I reckon the Codex Alimentarius was behind the World Trader Center attacks.

I looked at the wikipedia page and it all seems rather innocuous. Regarding supplements, there should be tighter standards on what you can sell and what you can claim about it.

What, it was a really poorly planned delivery of approved foods, or something?

I think that "health freedom" is kind of a stupid concept. Like "engineers that build bridges freedom" ie, guys that get degrees for $20 over the internet should be able to design bridges too.

lol it sounds like many other conspiracies all jumbled together and rebadged In order to try and make it sound more credible than it already isnt.

I agree. There are too many dodgily qualified "naturopaths" out there who ave no idea what they are prescribing.

Sounds like that is the origin of this particular panic. The alternative medicine and natural foods types rely on distrust of modern science and technology to keep them in business.
I'm not giving you my opinion, I'm telling you how it is.

It's the same as with martial arts. People take "practice to move in a relaxed, natural fashion" and turn it into "train so weak you're moving like a toddler taking their first step". The final devolution ends up with those Yellow Bamboo nut jobs trying to stop a charging BJJ specialist with chi and yelling.

Same thing here. It goes from "Certain dietary changes and homeopathic treatments can alleviate minor symptoms and reduce the amount of time taking perscription medication" goes to "Modern medicine is all a big profit hogging conspiracy!" and finally to morons like this.

Is there like a built-in FAIL mechanism in the general population of the world?

The anecdotal evidence would seem to support this.

Modern Medicine is profit hogging, that's what a corporation is. But that doesn't mean it doesn't work and isn't stringently tested.

Not arguing that. Medical corporations profit hugely from modern medicine, but saying modern medicine was created purely for profit and doesn't cure anything, is well into the paranoid area.
