Jesus that was fast, McConnell already wants to quick draw a nomination. Lemme guess Rush Limbaugh?? No maybe the current CEO of a fracking company?? Or maybe the actual Omen is available....

Nope I got it Ivanka will be our next supreme court nominee, but only if she allows for some alone time with her daddy.

The body isn't even cold yet. No one with any sense should be doing anything but giving condolences to those who are feeling bereaved. A historic American icon has died and should be laid to rest with all of the honor and dignity befitting her impressive lifetime of service to the US Constitution and civil liberties.

You're talking about the same people who backed Trump when he made fun of a disabled person by doing a mock imitation of his disability. They have no class and negative level morality.

Lets be honest here. The party of resistance and obstruction made sure she stayed on the court through all of her illnesses and trevails so as to attempt to make sure her chair would NOT be replaced by the current sitting President. For all the reasons this seems too soon, as in the 'body isn't even cold yet' we have every reason as a country to have wanted her retired 2 years ago. She was not in this for the money, she undoubtedly stayed way too long. Her family would have loved to spend more time with her and sure, her job was her life, but come on- After the first chemo treatments anyone at her age and condition would have been sitting enjoying a stream, bank of a lake, taking it easy. Its just a damn job at the end of the day.

And was this too soon? Probably, but my position is she overstayed. And the country should remember this and now expect any others who get dread diseases to step down.

That being said, she was an Icon. I taught my daughter about her and she will always be revered as a great justice. May she rest in peace knowing she led the way and showed the world what a bright young lady could become, in our great country.

Are you a politician or happen to be pursuing a career in politics?

The women you say you admire has past away but you believe she was being propped up like corpse in A Weekend at Burnie's kind of way?

I don't know how you go from accusing someone of being a political prop to role model in a paragraph... It's comes off like partisanship has rotted your brain out.

She was a full grown, intelligent, accomplished women. Capable of making her own choices. If she wanted to spend her twilight years on Lake in Tahoe why would she not? Do you have some personal insight into her thought process? Was the DNC blackmailing her with snuff porn?

good job acknowledging the passing of an American Icon by taking a partisan dump on the dead body.

For posterity and those who have only heard about RBG recently due to the circumstances, can someone name her specific achievements?

I believe she had battled through cancer on 4 other occasions in her life. While never missing a day on the bench.

Also she graduated Harvard law school top of her class; with a newborn and a husband who had developed cancer as well.

We should always allow at least 4 years of grieving before replacing government officials.
Consider for a moment that there is no meme about brown-haired, brown-eyed step children.

She helped confirm civil rights in an era when most justices preferred the lack thereof for certain groups.

The ultranationalists are really fired up, posting memes of her burning corpse and stuff next to jihadist Christian fundamentalist zealotry. It's a great time to still be alive, 2020.
'I am no advocate of passivity, Coffin Mott said in an 1860 speech. Quakerism, as I understand it, does not mean quietism. The early Friends were agitators; disturbers of the peace; and were more obnoxious in their day to charges, which are now so freely made, than we are.'
