Eraserhead is always worth revisiting. I think the existential horror and fear of biological necessity that is the backbone of much of Lynch's stuff is really potent here.

somehow i think this site might appreciate the movie "Battle Royale" (not sure about teh last e). Is a japanese movie /w subtitles about the future. Because of discipline, one class of middleschoolers (it looks like) each year are carted of to an island, a bomb i strapped around their neck, and they are given a random weapon. If more than 1 kid is left alive in 3 days, all the bombs go off. If you want young kids killing each other with incredible graphic violence, this movie is for YOU

I would like to at this point say that Requiem for a Dream was a great comedy.

Ouch. That movie made me want to call my mom and get a hug.

The Man Who Wasn't There was very good. I think Billy Bob Thornton was excellent in this role.

You can't make a man by standing a sheep on its hindlegs but if you get a group of men together you can create a herd of sheep.

My housemate goes gaga over this movie.
He has it on VCD, DVD and a special edition DVD.
He is now reading the comic book version.
(keep in mind in Australia, its expensive to import this stuff as well!)

Billy Bob is the man. I loved him Tin Cup. If you can get over the Angelina marriage your left with a great, underrated actor.

All the Coen brothers films are great. They are masters of dialouge, there's hardly a line in there any of thier films that isn't funny in some way.

I finally got around to seeing The Usual Suspects. Great movie... I kinda guessed who Keyser Soze was right off the bat, but with what the movie showed, it made me drop that train of thought, and suspect somebody else.

Then the ending swings around and makes me go "DOH! I KNEW IT!"

My skill with a sword is formidable. My skill with the s-word is flat-out lethal.

Sling Blade fucking rocked. First worthwhile independent movie I ever saw.

If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch "The Elephant Man" with John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins. Truly one of the very best films ever made.

The only thing I didn't like about Sling Blade is the scene where he confronted his father. I think he should have cut him up like a spiral-sliced ham.
