    Decisions Decisions

After spending 6yrs in Germany I moved back to the US last year. Well I am a year out form my next move and I requested Japan, Korea, or Italy. What I got was either Korea or "Europe".

The delima. If I choose Korea ther is a big chance I can't take my family with me because there is a huge chance I may end up by the DMZ and therefore my family can't come. If I get Seoul or south of it there is a better chance at getting sponsorship for my family.

If I choose "Europe" that means I can get sent to anyplace in Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, England, Belguim) BUT Germany is alwasy the highest priority and very likely I will end up there again. Its not a bad thing but I wanted my family to experience other parts of the world like I did growning up.

My last choice is that I can WAIT and see if anything comes up, for instance a slot in Japan or Okinawa may open up. The problem with that is I am playing russian roulette. I have until December to make a decision but I may endup getting stuck in a place I don't want to go.

    Ouch. That's a tough one.

I rarely advise wait and see, but damn you're in a pickle.

Nah, thinking about it go Europe. Having your family around beats not having them around hands down.

In my experience this goes double for them. Take the option that's guaranteed to keep you in the same place.

Besides you might luck out in Europe and be sent to sunny england where the rain never falls.

Europe is all like one country anyway. You could practically walk to Germany from France. Thats why the French and Germans have always been allies.

        edit: stay with family.

Kick boxing is ok, but don't expect do beat a man like Rickson Gracie with that. You need a real martial art. You need Xing Yi Quan. -Emptyflower

The splits, how ever, have a few martial uses. Doing the splits for me, can put my fists in testical strike range.

dont ignore the Art for the Martial or else your just kick boxing

Yes i am serious, there are kicks that can block punches. we have them in Moo duk kwan.
I want to learn how to use them in case my arm gets broken in a fight.
what would you have me do? if my arm gets broke, not block punches? -sempi-stone

Personally I'd go for the europe+family option.
and like boarhitback says, you might get the tropical paradise that is the UK.

As a military brat...I say stay with your family and stay off the DMZ.

You're too valuable to them and us to just being a human trip wire.

Yeah, the way you talked before you wanted to go to Japan. I'd wait and see what opened up unless, you can get somewhere safe in Korea.

Flights and trains across europe generally take an hour or two, you can take day trips or weekends anywhere, even here in Ireland. It'll be cool, we'll go bowling.

If the worst that can happen in Europe is that you get sent to somewhere you've been before, thought was OK, but might be less educational for your kids, whereas in Korea your familly might not get to come at all, come to Europe.

Spanish ladies are pretty much the best lays in europe IMHO...tho that probably isn't a motivator for asia to go to europe.

Like you said, Europe means lots of countries, not just Germany. You might end up in the best country of all: Poland.

Go to Europe. With all the travelling and closeness, there is a huge mix of cultures anyway.
