    abstract art and politics

I am trying to discern a link between one's taste in art and one's place on the spectrum of political opinion.

By "abstract art" I mean visual art with no identifiable representative content.

    The following artist apply:

    Modrian
    Malevich
    Kandinsky
    Pollock
    Rothko
    Newman
    Mitchell
    Reinhart
    Marden
    Martin

Do you mean which of these artist do we like, and then how do we classify ourselves politically?

Or do you mean what kind of art do we like and ect...

I like abstract art, but I am an artist by profession.

I like almost all visual art styles.

I HATE bad art, unless it is so bad that it is good. I once saw a black velvet painting or Rambo with a machine gun. I wish I had bought it. It was so awful it was cool.

No option for libertarians. No vote.

I'm moderate and I hate abstract art. It's an excuse to pain stuff randomly without ANY sort of pre-thought idea, then say "well... what do YOU think it is?" when people ask you about it. Bullshit.

No libertarian option, so I just voted moderate. I suppose my reasoning is that identifying with conservatives on some issues and liberals on others ultimately balances out, hence moderate.

                  I like most abstract art.

Given those options, I guess I'm a moderate, and I like a lot of abstract art. Those of you that like Mondrian should really read some of his papers. His De Stijl movement, though interesting, was really bizarre. The philosophical side of it was definitely not something you'd expect from your stereotypical artist.

Liberal and conservative should be banned from use. They don't mean anything anymore anyway.

I still went with liberal, pro-abstract.

Jackson Pollock looks like garbage to me

I am conservative, and Jackson Pollock looks like paint splattering to me. I can't read between the lines, or whatever people do to interpret his art. Is there really any sophistication in his art whatsoever? Can't seem to find too much there.
