We're but one card in that dirty played deck. I suggest some here do an attempt to discern history without bias. This starts by actually doing studying.

I am not an apologist for where this country has done wrong. Here, there and everywhere. But, conquest, influence and other means to better or enrich your own is as old as the history of man.

There is a lot of shit at play in the region. There are no simple solutions. Fuck Iran. It will implode eventually. This is a country with the legacy of the great Persian empire. Wrest the country from the control of the Islamist fundamentalists and the people will rejoice. We don't have to attack but merely support the populace.

Then again, I don't see them detaining a couple of boats of Navy Seals, confiscating their equipment and posturing for the world while the Orange One is Commander in Chief.

The biggest problem I always see is people try and play captain hind sight and apply modern sensibilities to history without applying any sort of context of the time.
Then they want to add layers of idealism to it and ignore the fact that we are tribal by nature and nations are in the habit of doing what is good for their tribe.
