That's very informative, thanks. I've always wanted to visit Vietnam and Cambodia to scope out their beaches for a nice little retirement shack in the middle of nowhere. My plan has always been to become a rural hermit near some sandy beach with clean water.

Edit: I'm aware that they do not allow foreigners to buy land but they will allow you to buy an apartment or put up a small business IIRC.

and to have sympathies for the humanitarian situation for many Palestinians,

and to also realize that the leaders of Palestine have an economic stranglehold on their own people as well.

And prolong the situation.

Yeah, lots of South Viet wanted us to stay but they no longer had much say in the matter and the Northern forces moving South weren't likely to be very receptive to the idea.
