You say that like it's a bad thing, all the while enjoying the spoils of war.

Fuck “defending our freedom,” it’s called imperialism.
The only thing I’ll give you is our military overseas. It is a well know fact, if you read neutral studies, Russia and China are NOTORIOUS for under reporting negative stats.

Yes, I say we lead, but I do not believe for a second the gap is as large as reported.

Yeah, but let's at least get our money's worth. We spend like 800 mil on defense per year I want to see that money go to more than just tank graveyards.

Maybe with China, but Russia?? Do they even have a total of 800 million anymore, let alone per year??

l would trade a lot of material goods to have friends and family not suffering PTSD, agent orange cancers, or dead.

And the US military industrial rule is not bringing the benefits that all of Europe and much of Asia enjoy. Better health, cheaper or free medical and education, upward mobility, less divorce, less children on drugs, less suicide, way less prisoners, and so on.

Average military spending since 9/11, $32 million a day. Money well spent? As they say, some gave some, some gave all, but Dick Cheney’s Halliburton made $40 billion.

To be clear I do get what you're saying, and we need people that are going to have lofty Noble goals.
I also equate it to anti-gmo advocacy from people with full bellies.

One should look at N. Korea vs S. Korea, to see the Morality in trying to help capitalist factions/governments vs communist factions, the quality of life and humanity in S. Korea that was paid for in blood was worth it the people of S. Korea and to the U.S.A. , it's unfortunate for the people of Vietnam that we didn't succeed there. You can see the abject poverty in that country to understand why.
                            S. Korea has some of the best manufacturing, engineering, and science on the planet.

The people in Vietnam live in abject poverty because we bombed it to shit and just left without doing any cleanup or rebuilding anything.

All the news is reporting Reaper drone, which to me makes the most sense. It is a nice reach out and crush someone tool, with very minimal risk of detection and friendly casualty.
