The Middle East is covered in old Soviet and Russian arms. And terrorists use it all. And ISIS is definitely at war with Iran.

This would not be the first time ISIS (which has stolen and used US, Russian, Syrian, and Iraqi vehicles and weapons of all types) attacked deep within Iran.

They've already attacked the Iranian Parliament. They are, for all purposes, an enemy of both Iran and America. So, blowing up a plane to escalate both sides, in a window of just a few hours of trading missile barrages, makes perfect sense.

Besides, there's still no evidence at all it was a SA-15. It could easily have been a MANPADS launched from one guy. Range fits, altitude fits, speed of missile fits. Fuel type is a definite fit.

So my money is on terrorist MANPADS. Your move!

Watching you guys argue is fucking hilarious.
If only Perry Mason were here. He'd get to the bottom of this.

I am certainly more along the spectrum that flight might have been targeted for some reason.
Questions that I would like resolved and will get resolved with more time durning investigation.
If hit by an Anti-Aircraft missile while climbing how was it able to try and turn back towards the airport and crash facing the airport a good distance away from impact.
Why this air craft and not any others in the sky at the time.
Why would an AA missile site be right there and why would operators whom have been watching air craft take off and land over and over again make an error.
What possible benefit does targeting that plane give anyone?
These are all things that need to be answered.
        Hopefully the truth wills out.

I am not equipped to answer or even speculate about your questions, however.

I know Iran history shows their current government really doesn’t give a shit about killing their own people, as long they control the narrative as to why.

I am not above admitting its a missile when the international community does its investigation with proper access to the site and the black box.
Right now a missile strike is an easy lie, and one that serves US interest very well. One that people are willing to believe before the releasing of any evidence.
The evidence we have right now is a video, and some scattered tweets. That video hasn't really been properly vetted yet.

All that said, it very well could be the truth but I remain skeptical cause that will always be more starting point on anything like this.

A confidential resource reports there was a key person on the plane that had dirt on Hillary Clinton and was preparing to come forward.

If that is the case any SIGINT from the US is 100% a lie if that is the case.
Hell your not likely to even get decent Infrared intelligence from that.
However that is a hell of a lot more believable than an actual AA battery

They don't call it information warfare for nothin.

Trust nothing but what you see and hear yourself. I think that's the lesson of this thread so far. Sure we went in some circles, but that's fine. It's called the constant comparative approach, it's essential for developing a working theory grounded in empirical evidence.

Do not trust, then verify. Zero trust, until you are positive and not a moment sooner. Right now I wouldn't generally believe anything coming out of either government.

As far as the CIC, this guy has more credibility when it comes to military news.

One thing is for sure this is dominating the news cycle now instead of the tensions between the US & Iran.
Interesting how quickly we can move on from missiles being shot at each others assets and onto this.
It is quit the way to de-escalate something.
No I am not implying that this as a tactic for de-escalation was thought up and then executed its just an interesting by product.

I launched a solid fueled one so bad about 5m ago, I said "eww" out loud to myself, and then promptly congratulated myself for being honest with myself.

If I were a government man, I'd have clearly blamed Iran.

It's on par with the rest of the speculation on this thread.

Nobody here knows what the fuck happened to cause that plane to come down, other than gravity.

And if you did, you would not be allowed to discuss it here....

So, my working theory is that the pilot ate some really bad baba ganoosh,

And Ghost was on the maintenance line,

and forgot to put prickly heat powder on his dick that night,

farted, and accidentally fired a righteous indignation turd out of his butt

that flew into the engine, causing the damn thing to crash,

while John Lithgow went hysterical inside the plane because he could see Ghost's RI turd running up and down the wing tearing up shit.

                              This is real progress.

I don't know anything about this, so I think I will post a link.

Trump announces that maybe Middle Eastern countries should be invited to join NATO,

to reduce the U.S. military presence abroad.

If the US has to pay less, and less US military have to spill their blood for other nations that could see to their own defense,

I think this is a very interesting and perhaps innovative idea.
