Nobody on Earth gives a shit about what Boris Johnson has to say about anything, OTHER than Donald Trump.

I am not a huge fan of getting "news" from Joe Rogan, but this talk with Baker about Iran, is interesting.

Boris Johnson: Replace Iran nuclear plan with 'Trump deal', says PM
And there was have it.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-51104386#
Wouldnt surprise me if they dont change a few details and send it almost verbatim to Kim Jong afterwards.
If that happens them democrats my as well not bother even running .
Just skip this one and work towards 2024
I was watching George Galloway on RT a few days ago because I like to go back after things have happened and see what people predicted.
To be fair to him he was bang on with most of his Brexit predictions but with Iran he is woefully poor.
He predicted Armageddon and the fires of hell to be unleashed on the US and UK.
The BBC news readers predicted the same prior to the invasion of Iraq and were literally gobsmacked when the allied forces just walked into each city and the blood bath they predicted was replaced with soldiers surrendering in mass.
To be fair many did predict the shit show afterwards.
Its very easy for people on all sides of the argument in the west to forget that these are the same kind of humans as us, as fanatical as some of their leaders sound many are not as fanatical as they make out and tend to manipulate the crazy among them to act out their idiocy but they themselves do not want to die for Allah just as most of their population are just trying to go to work , raise their kids and live ordinary lives without rockets hitting them.
There will be deals.
The main sticking point with North Korea as I see it is not getting a deal agreed but that he US is still officially at war with them so cant do anything that is perceived or presented as their surrender with Kim being in the same position.

It's Hawaiʻiloa's fault. He was named for Maui, the Kupua, but he was just a normal man.

We're but one card in that dirty played deck. I suggest some here do an attempt to discern history without bias. This starts by actually doing studying.
I am not an apologist for where this country has done wrong. Here, there and everywhere. But, conquest, influence and other means to better or enrich your own is as old as the history of man.
There is a lot of shit at play in the region. There are no simple solutions. Fuck Iran. It will implode eventually. This is a country with the legacy of the great Persian empire. Wrest the country from the control of the Islamist fundamentalists and the people will rejoice. We don't have to attack but merely support the populace.
Then again, I don't see them detaining a couple of boats of Navy Seals, confiscating their equipment and posturing for the world while the Orange One is Commander in Chief.
Anyone remember that?
And no, l can’t say Fuck Iran. As long as we live in denial, l can say fuck the USA. Like Cheney telling the Iraqis to not think of us as conquerers, think of us as liberators. Cheney, of course, like all neocons, is ahistorical. He doesn’t care for history because he is a neocon fuck twit; if you show Iraqis capitalism and democracy they will be instant converts. However Iraqis weren’t converted because they know their history. In 1916 Britain invaded Iraq and got wiped out by the Ottoman Turks. The largely Indian enlisted men army died in captivity. They came back with air support, fire bombing Iraqi towns. When the Iraqis cried uncle they got their goal, the Basra oil field. And the British General said, don’t think of us as conquerers, think of us as liberators.
Reminds me of the wife, who worked in an office in downtown Hilo (which had no white women, here it’s less than 10% of population that is local caucasian, haole, almost all of whom are married to brown people) said once, “Mainland haoles come here to work and after a couple months they say, the locals aren’t friendly, they don’t like white people. So they go back to the mainland.”
That is white privilege. It’s like if you are a businessman from Salt Lake City, the only brown people you know clean your motel room or make you a taco. You assume your culture is the norm. And in Hilo you will walk right into a brick wall.
To think historically without bias usually means accepting colonialism as a norm. Hawaiians, and the brown descendants of all the imported plantation workers do not accept this as a norm. Awareness of colonialism is a powerful current these days in Hawaii. Which makes Hawaiian people allies of the oil pipeline activists.
If anyone is still reading, sorry for the tangents and verbosity, the kids are putting the baby down, the wife is getting ready for bed and I am finishing off Dominican rum with cider!Last edited by patfromlogan; 1/14/2020 8:55pm, .
