Aww just what I was looking for a map:
    https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/07/middl...hnk/index.html
Look at how "far" that airplane got, it didn't have enough time to get up to altitude to be hit by AA missile.

You can also cross reference it with this map and see nope certainly not an AA missile.
    https://auroraintel.net/middle-east/...-300-locations

Some other fuckery maybe but this is why you should look at evidence first.

My grandpa was also severely biased against the Japanese. Pearl Harbor was part of that but I think what really incensed him was the Japanese treatment of Allied POWs. At the end of the war he was assigned as medical personal at an Allied POW camp for German officers and a lot of his funnier stories were about playing harmless pranks on the German officers. Like shouting Achtung and watching the high ranking Nazi Officer Corps all click their heels together and shout Hail Hitler at a confused Corporal from nowhere Mississippi carrying an armload of fresh underwear.

Good old American ribbing that wasn't meant to do any harm but he was clearly outside of himself when it came to the war crimes of the Axis powers. He was far too ultra-Christian to hate regular people but I don't think there was any difference between how he felt about the Axis power leadership and Satan himself.

Okay, so Trump's address regarding this made the statement that the US is now energy independent, in that they do not need oil. Is this correct?

The US has not needed foreign oil for decades.

And does not need it for the next century at least.

And that is without factoring in reinvigorating shale extraction and deep oil extraction advances,

            or increased investment in nuclear,

and assuming no growth in renewables.

And those last three points would of course go down as well unless the meteor hits,

            so centuries, really.

Not saying it was one thing or another, but I will be interested to see what comes of it.
American Flight 587..... that is why I wait.

No, but it could have been hit by an AA rocket or flak. There's no minimum altitude for that.

A lot of the speculation right now centers around projectile holes found on the wrecked fuselage and wings.

But those holes can be made by anything, weapons as well as hot debris flying at several hundred mph.

Funny, my daily gas prices are still heavily dominated by foreign countries.

Unlikely, given how close to the Airport it still was, Airport controlled airspace.
It's simply more likely failed engine maintenance than an accidental AA situation.

Maybe when I get back from my work our I will see if I can figure out if any other planes where in the air at the time.

                        Iranian airspace you mean.

                        Did you see Argo?

Could you explain the joke to me?

It sounds like you know more

                            than you're telling us.

So please tell us what you know,

so that we will know more

                            than we do now.

                              What determines price?

What are the dynamics of the oil markets?

                              Who sets those prices?

                              What supply scarcities really exist?

Of course high demand is a constant, to be sure...
