It is snowflake millennial bullshit. It is hilarious because these same woke snowflakes believe it is different from woke snowflake boomer shit.

I don't understand the mentality that blindly categorizes entire generations with a blanket mindset. If this is woke, color me asleep.

How is this mindset different from racism or any other bigoted isms?

This is not a respect your elders post. Nor a get off my lawn.

It is normal for many, when young to think the old are old fashioned and out of touch. Sometimes they/we are. Ghost is drawing down on anyone older than him. That's a harsh on one's self way to go through life. If this is his real life personna he's alienating himself from a wealth of learning from others. Or he's a fake. Worse yet, a disillusioned bitter boot licker in IRL.

            What precedent?

To me it seems rather straightforward. Commit an overt act of war against the US, get a moderate, proportional military response.

It's not like he invaded or started bombing cities. He went after the in theater man in charge.

Since there have been embassies and ambassadors, there has never been a time when attacking one wasn't considered not only an act of war, but a declaration of the same.

B52s could be making Tehran look like the fourth of July right now, and the UN and ICC coulnt say a word, because Iran committed an act that by universally accepted international law is an act of war.

So the US popped an Iranian general and some soldiers in Iraq who lead the attack and decided that was enough for now. That seems to me to be a very rational and restrained response. Feel free to put together a cogent argument that will change my mind.

What will happen is Trump with rah rah rah on TV and twitter and tell the Generals he wants to do something, and the troops will do it. Only they will tweak it along the way to make it work. And it will work, because we are the best.

And this type of thing happens through all levels of government. I’ve worked for some people who had been promoted out of the ranks for so long that they were too separated from it to have a working knowledge of the job. But they still had fairly good management abilities. They managed from their level and then we, at the lowered levels, we able to make them look good by being the awesome employees we are.

but this is not going to keep the living room quarterbacks from second guessing the play callers. It’s what we do when we can no longer play. Of course, some of us never did play.
Remember when Sec Army White and General Shinseki told Rumsfeld truth about invading Iraq? Soldiers obey bullshit orders. I learned this when my father, chief Navy Saigon told General Maxwell Taylor, Chair Joint Chiefs, that we were losing the war. He was replacedbwith a series of “smiling yes men.” The Pentagon was told the truth, it didn’t matter.

Maybe settle down for a while, and let the guy do his job, especially while handling a pre-emptive act of war by a foreign State on a US embassy, while that foreign State has Russian and China along for the ride.

Not all of us, but you rather label people so you can dismiss them instead of engage with facts, reason, and logic, you rather come back with conspiracy.
Hey how where those "sources" of yours about the Apache.

There where other high value targets in that car. The US has had Soleimani as a high value target for a while, opportunity came up, this wasn't as rash of decision as you think.
Opportunity presented itself for a clean strike, at a time where a clean strike was needed to send a message.
Iran was starting to act as if their where no consequences to its actions. They have had plenty of bad actor actions in the region.
                    They have been previously listed.

No worries, China and Russia will tell Iran to stand the fuck down, now that we are postured to fuck them up.
Since Russia and China energy policies require Iran to be able to produce oil for them.

The biggest point here that you may have missed is we straight up told Iran no proxy attacks will be accepted.
They can't hide behind their bullshit. No more attacking Oil tankers, no more soft target, no more bullshit.

I do not want war, but you have to stand up to bullies.

I work with program managers that have 0 domain expertise in the field I am in, in fact we should likely be under a different program. However that is not the case.
The point though, is those program managers listen to us because they know we have domain specific knowledge.
Then it just comes down to budget, if they have any, or whom doesn't get what they want in order to support what is needed.

Just in case I really have to spell it out for the stoned, the drunk, or the slow...

The rumor mongers, fear mongers, and muck rakers running around saying President Trump is a Russian agent, or a compromised Manchurian candidate,

Are not only just like the rumor mongers, fear mongers, and muck rakers that were running around saying President Obama was secretly a Shia Muslim Iranian agent, or a compromised Manchurian candidate,

But in many cases, some of those muck rakers are the exact same people and groups,

because that is exactly the kind of rumor foreign governments circulate as disinformation campaigns to get the more extreme and/or the more gullible local citizenry to run with those destabilizing rumors.

                        You fucking morons...

I will not disagree about being a shithead, but the 1st Amendment means people in this country are free (for the most part) to speak their mind, even if what they say is stupid, inflammatory or disruptive. To claim otherwise is arguing against free speech.

Of course they are free to criticize politicians and the government, and should.

But, I said the same thing about the people spreading the rumors that Obama was a compromised Shia Muslim agent for Iran,

As I do to the people spreading the rumors that Trump is a compromised Russian agent.

Way to take the bait, run with it, and lead other fish into the net for the foreign governments, that for the free price of a ridiculous rumor, get to destabilize us, on bullshit.

Presidents can be corrupt, incompetent, and morons without being compromised Russian / Iranian / Chinese Manchurian candidates....

Indeed, every President has some level of duty to people that put them there, that is politics, politics is a game of give and take.
There was Russian interference in the election, though I am not sure if it was as effective as people want to think it is.
Much in the same way I know the CIA isn't as good at regime change as people think they are.
Sure they have backed some winners that have been able to depose there have been many instance though where the US backed entities did not win.

For the people who don't get it, President Trump has plenty of domestic support. Just because you don't like him, and don't understand why other people could possibly like him, doesn't mean some outside entity is WHY he is president.
It doesn't mean we shouldn't investigate and deal with foreign influences on our elections, cause we 100% should.
Stop acting like their is not nearly 50% of the country that supports him, even if you cannot fathom why.

I will admit it, I do not get why anyone would support this President. However I do not need to. I do not think less of the people that do. I am not looking to get in an argument over him. Mostly cause its pointless, and also I simply am not versed enough in all the bullshit cause in the end it doesn't matter as much as people think it does.
