So, to better understand your point of view, for what reasons would YOU find moral/right thing to do to intervene militarily in another country ?

I'll start. I thought the crap that went on in Rwanda was worth of serious world military intervention.

This way we can bracket the outside edges of a bit. Maybe

“President” needs to be plural. They’ve all done shady things. Iran though, they’ve been doing dumb shit for awhile and have been left alone. Trump didn’t like it, pulled the funding and here we are because they decide to act a fool.

You will get no argument from me on many of these. Others, notably some of the regime changes, we will have to agree to disagree.

Iran? An attack was eminent. Maybe we get details. Maybe not for a myriad of valid reasons. Iran today is not the Iran of our youth.

This was not a wag the dog moment or attempt to start a war. That is my belief. I'm a counter puncher. This was that.

Iran has been flexing. No war has been started. If Iran wants to attack America they need to expect a hard response each and every time. Be it embassy, base or whatever.

This war monger talk is bullshit.
I agree 100% that Suliemani had it coming and Iran are blindly aggressive hiding behind brinksmanship for the US wanting to avoid war.

But, where the fuck was this tough on terror shit in the case of Al Bashir who was definitely in the running for guy with the most American blood on his hands when he was feeding IED's and money to Iraqi insurgents and ISIS (and their predecessors)?

Trump doesn't get a pass for sacrificing the Kurds and making the region less safe in every other arena.

I question his motivations in every step because I don't see him doing anything in American interests.

According to the Trump administration. Their first talking point the day after being sworn into office was based around "Alternate Facts" and a foolish obsession with faking a bigger crowd than Obama at the inauguration.

I can't trust anything said by someone that dishonest, which means I can't trust the Executive branch while he's in office. Those are words that I never thought I would ever say in my life.

How much of that is your own political bias? How much anti-trump social media do you consume?
I am far from a Trump Supporter myself, I certainly didn't vote for him the 1st time around and won't be doing so this go around either.
However I have seen the left demonize anything and everything he does.
I live in a historically LGBTQ community, I have LGBTQ friends and family, and so I keep an eye on LGBTQ news and other things.
I watched them get in an uproar of him sending a positive tweat about LGBTQ Pride month. Its like holy fuck.........come on now.

It's not that. I have been feeding myself a steady diet of WWI, WW2, Cold War and Soviet history since I was in high school.

I'm not an expert by any means but there are common themes that I believe should not be ignored.
