And whether we call the deprivation of private citizen's lands and properties socialism or monarchy or eminent domain or taxes or communism, taken to extremes, the results are always the same.

Governments given too much power over commerce or lands or factories or production play favorites based on who the ruling Party is, when those properties, or the fruits of those properties are redistributed.

Therefore a prudent People will take the Government out of any role of being the owner or custodian or provider of what should be the result of private commerce, and make sure that Government is only used to enforce contracts willingly entered into between private parties, and never used to take resources away from one party to make those resources the property of the Crown or the Government against the will of the private parties who own them privately.

Resources taken away from their private owners for the "Public Good" merely takes what was the private party's property and then treats it as if it were the property of corrupt politicians and corrupt administrators.

And the redistribution of the fruits of those government seized resources tends to always be redistributed in a manner designed to benefit those in political office, or their families, or those that will funnel some of the proceeds back to the politicians.

Er, you've managed to confuse me there or is it just a philosophical exercise?

Anyway, be that as is may, my earlier reference was drawn from "The Great Hunger" by Cecil Woodham-Smith, which articulated the spread of the Potato Blight and the reactions of The Treasury under Trevelyan and its 'laissez-faire' view; that God might have been responsible; that Catholic Emancipation c.1829 meant that the Irish (indigenous) generally had no rights, no ability to vote, scant opportunity for education, had no real right to Land; that British Government law required Irish Catholics to divide land between male children. The latter deliberate to prevent primo-geniture inheritance that might allow for an emerging Irish Catholic 'Landed Class'. That might also present a perceived Threat to those in the the Plantation areas ("Ulster" being very much an area where the Law differed and allowed for primo-geniture but also allowed for compensation for any improvement brought to the land during its tenancy upon expiry. This was never allowed in 'Catholic Ireland'.

I'll stop there. I don't want to distract from the Thread and the tragedy of one lunatics murderous behaviour.

Hes not smart. He likely does. All though its irrelevant. His belief isn't needed if he just goes along with it for press and implements the policies it's all the same.

I think people who are willing to murder innocent folks for some far-out cause are by definition mentally ill. And basically, sad, cowardly, little pieces of shit.

yeah, I'm guessing whichever group of like-minded people he was hanging out with online and/or in person. Mostly online, I bet.

    Imagine the discussion:
CrazyNazilarper1: Yeah, I've got all my gear ready, but, damn, I am hesitating, because of the bad publicity if I go ahead and go.
CrazyNazilarper2: Dude, I feel your pain. I'm itching to get busy, but, the optics would be horrible.
CrazyNazilarper3: I'm so frustrated with the situation. All those white people dying everyday because of immigrants ! But what can I do, I don't want to hurt the cause in the long run.

    etc...
