I have every season on DVD. Epic show. McGuyver with a strike team fighting alien empires?

      Moar pls.

The other series like Atlantis and the different movies are pretty good too.

The original theatrical movie is an all time favorite. Kurt Russell, James Spader. That dude (ette) from The Crying Game.

Same for me. The series never took hold, though.

I've been on Enterprise, again. Just finished the one where The Kurgan/Mr. Crab is the antagonist. That dude is awesome, and works a fuckton. I forgot that Dean Stockwell was the antagonist, in one episode, involving - wait for it - the Temporal Cold War. I bet many laughs were had in the writers' conference room, that day.

Atlantis was my childhood. Wanted to grow up to be Ronan so bad.

I love the science fiction genre but I just never could get into shows like SG-1 and Star Trek TNG/TNG clones.

I like space opera but I prefer hard sci fi.

Otherwise, Star Trek TOS was better in my opinion because it had better conflicts between the leading characters.

The hostile undertones, camaraderie and verbal interplay between Spock and Bones TOS was second to none in the genre.

I have a Samantha Carter crush.

I think Daniel Jackson is super fucking annoying because I am just like him IRL.

Fun fact :. The Daniel Jackson action figure has him jacked like Dolf Lundgren. I'll find a pic, if you know the show well it's fucking hilarious.

My youngest is reading the Robotech novelizations (on book 4) and I am trying to get him into binge watching the show.

Kids are ridiculous. So many kids are "into anime" now and will binge watch hundreds of series on Netflix..trying to get them to watch Robotech, Evangelion, Gundam, Star Blazers..impossible.

The internet is the problem. Every ten year old has turned into Crow from MST3K, only now they pile on classics like FOTNS because "the animation is terrible ".

But My Hero Academia is all the rage. I just don't get it. Warped little minds..

I thought the Ori were the creepiest villains of any TV show I ever watched. Nothing is spookier than religious zealots with high technology.

Show went downhill after O'Neill left. Just wasn't the same. And the Goa'uld did have a massive God complex and basically ran a giant cult. The replicators were creepy as fuck. As were the Wraith.

One thing SG-1 deserves credit for in particular is how the team is constantly trying to get alien tech, and when successful they adapt and use it to their own ends. The status quo shifts as the show moves in a way that feels really uncommon in other similar shows. It lends a degree of "realism" that I really enjoy.

At least the Goa'uld had a sense of humor (some at least, Apophis was all business but they took him out right away to make room for the whole assortment of baddies). The Ori were like evil priests.

                          The Wraith were pretty wicked.

The only good sketch this weekend on SNL but I just about laughed myself into a stroke when Ice-T' started talking.

                              Arya. I lost my mind.

Wildling Out rap battles reminded me of Bullshido.
