Finished my rewatch of Altered Carbon. Still love it. Also, holy shit the Netflix CGI Godzilla movies are fucking dumb.

I will also note that Winston from the Ghostbusters was only being paid $11,500 a year, or $27,800 in real dollars. I can't hire a guy to sweep floors for that salary in WA State.

Nah, there are solid exclusives too. As I said Altered Carbon is great. And these wee made in Japan and had a theatrical release there. Netflix just got the distribution rights outside of Japan. Like they did with Knights of Sidonia and Violet Evergarden.

You said movies, not shows. Netflix series are hit or miss. Their movies are mostly miss.

              How it Ends- Sucked
Polar- Sucked(I really wanted to like this one too)
              Wheelman- Pretty damn bad
Bright- Didn't even rise to the level of sucked
IO- OMG it made 2001 Space Odessy look like an action thriller.

I could go on through the list of Netflix original movies... but it would only get more depressing with a few stand outs, but I'm pretty sure that a blind squirrel finds more nuts.

I tend to agree with Michael on this. Netflix is great at documentaries, stand-up comedy, and some original series (generally sci-fi in nature). Buster Scruggs is the only single feature-length that I really have enjoyed, maybe Bright is a distant second. Buster Scruggs, though, is not a really a feature length movie, it's a series of vignettes.

Was thinking about giving the Black Mirror movie a go, but that series was itself hit or miss from episode to episode.

I would like to point out that the Godzilla 3 part series was good... as was Altered Carbon ... and the new She-Ra.

It was a John Wick Jason Bourne mash up, in which none the characters ever got the development they needed or deserved.

Was in Denver for business week before last and spent my evenings binging The Marvelous Mrs Maizel. Really, really good.

Halfway through Punisher season 2 now. Bit of a tone shift from Mrs Maizel...

I loved that flick. Tim Nelson and Tom Waits need to do more movies.
