It's impossible to get drunk off teppanyaki sake. They use this tiny little bottle to squirt it at you before making the onion volcano.

Found out before Christmas that my cancer has metastasised to my neck, surgeon says it is uncommon. No symptoms, feeling absolutely well, so an excellent pick up by the radiographers as it was tiny. Will be seeing a Head and Neck specialist 14 Jan, surgery soon after.

I’ve processed it over the last week and a half. The most frustrating thing will be being ‘weak’ again and having to rebuild my fitness as it’s going to be a larger incision from mid throat up the left side of the neck - I’m doing everything right to keep healthy and fit to have a quick recovery.

Enjoying the holidays with my child. Back to work 6th January so I can do the important stuff for the month and fingers crossed back to work two weeks after surgery. No travel for a couple of months so will miss some conferences, but I’ll take being alive :)

Tuck a year before l could read a novel (chemo brain!), but now l kick the bag at BJ Penn’s gym, lift, and do ma in, of all the fucking styles, Tae Kwon fucking Do! So hang in there brother, worst comes to worst you’ll just die and be done hurting!
