Maybe you should relax your white belt death grip ?

We taped our fingers back then to keep the skin from getting ripped off while grip fighting, not because they were broken or dislocated.

Yesterday, went and built furniture and cleaned some stuff. I enjoyed myself, especially since everything ended up working well.
Put on a corset and lace gown, went and had dinner with friends, including my fiancee and my boss, who had a great conversation about a bunch of stuff. It was nice. I felt content.
Took fiancee home. Had a great evening.

They make a beginner set that starts at 50 lbs . I assume for white belts, women and children. I workout with these. My grip is top notch and I don't have to tape my hands like a mummy. :-p
All kidding aside , I started working with my hands as a telephone linesman as a teenager so I assume my grip strength came from there. A lot of rope pulling ,climbing and wire cutting, etc. But my hands are in awesome shape because of it. The grip trainers have helped even more.
Building grip strength is great for no gI wrist control as well as gi grappling.

As a result I am not really a fan of using it, that and it works against my really horrible flexibility in that plane.

The beginner's death grip plus having lazy fingers that would snag on the gi gripfighting killed me at first even though I'd spent years doing mechanical labor and had tough fingers by most standards.
