We have a very interesting and diverse number of screen names on Bullshido. Wouldn't it be something to share with each other just how and why we ended up with the names we have? If anyone goes for it I would be glad to be one of the first. Thanks!

when i joined i was part of a kung fu association which (due to some serious drama on another forum) had a policy of forbidding anyone other than instructors from posting on fora, so i had to choose a pseudonym. in the end, my school split from that association, but at the time it seemed important.

i wanted something that would be a clue to my style without giving my identity away, and which contained an inside joke for anyone that knows me personally.

I've used Phrost since the mid 90's and it's essentially a hacker handle back when I did computer/network security. The phonetic "PH" is a reference to "Phreaking", which was the term for hacking telePHone systems before the word "hack" was being used widely.

My old username was quite revealing, and the ex and I were....not communicating very well at the time. I figured I should change my name from something so personal. LOL You should see the email address I made to go along with it.

My being sixteen years old at the time, it went like "hey, watch this" as I go up in the air to stuff a basketball. The ball comes down and I don't.
