Yeah, that is not my issue. My issue is all of the money that I have paid in, going to a government that is going to use it to buy $100 toilet paper. And none of my family getting any of it.

I personally am not planning on using Social Security as a retirement plan. But seeing as I'm not given the option to not pay into the plan, I want that money back when it is time, per the stipulations of the program.

To answer the original question.. no, there is no logical reason why gay marriage should be banned. If you want to bring government (US) into it, technically it is unconstitutional to do so (Life, Liberty, PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS). People should be allowed to do what makes them happy within reason. The thing that is driving me crazy are those folks that are using the issue as a scapegoat to blame all the world's problems on (I'll give you a hint.. it rhymes with Estboro). I think the best thing that could happen in this situation would be if Jesus DID come back and was like... "Hey guys, its cool, I'm gay. Why do you think I only hung around with dudes." I realize this is an extreme example and it was not meant to offend anyone.
