I don't know, I don't get aggravated at computers, IT people, or users anymore.

I walk over and hit the heavy bag hanging behind me and it all fades away.

I really don't want to read all of this, it sounds really aggravating.
It boils down to him being an askhole who wants to work at the geek squad or if he gets really lucky a tier one help desk reading a script.

Also apparently he likes taking two words that are kind of related and throwing them out their like
      Reformatting RAID.

However to answer your question, more boring and pedestrian than frustrating.

A computer engineer, a chemical engineer, and mechanical engineer are driving in a car in the middle of the Mojave Desert in 110 degree heat.

The car engine starts making a noise, sputters, and stops, and the car drifts to the side of the road, completely dead.

The mechanical engineer shakes his head and says "FUCK! Did you hear that? I knew we should have replaced the timing belt before this trip. We are FUCKED!!"

The chemical engineer taps the mechanical engineer on the shoulder and with a disapproving look, says "Na dude....I told you that last gas station was shady, I'll bet the gas was too low octane and was full of water. We're doomed".

The computer engineer looks at the other two and smirks confidently. He gets out of the car and back in again, and turns the key, and the engine cranks to life!

        "Works every time".

In all seriousness this caliber IT job is all that is going to be available to you if your lucky with a 2 year computer degree from a CC. Seriously get this through your head. The degree doesn't mean shit, and offers next to zero in way of opportunities.

If your taking the classes in hopes of landing some sweat IT job you are far more delusional than I have given you credit for.

Lets be perfectly clear if your not willing to sit down and read the wiki article on RAID, nor are you proficient at using http://support.microsoft.com/search/; google; http://www.cnet.com/; http://www.tomshardware.com/; http://www.wolframalpha.com/ or any other resource commonly used.

Knowledge about computer has and will always be largely passed via the various communities out their. I learned a lot of what I know on Bulletin Boards and reading white papers. For the most part its not something passed in the class room.

Fuck if I could get up early enough in the morning I would seriously think about taking one of them Sanitation engineer jobs. Good pay, good benefits, and none of your neighbors/friends/family ever ask for your help fixing their computers.

No dude, I understand. I plan on getting out there and getting to know all this. I have been a little busy is all.

I don't believe getting this degree will give me much more than some basic knowledge. I want the hands on training. They have one of those deals where you can work for them while you go to school.

Wabbit gave me some good leads also.

...and you could still tell the chicks at the bar you're an engineer!

They said the work study program would be like on the job training. I'd be working with some or one of the instructors. At least that's the picture they painted.

On the job training for wich of the 1000s of IT jobs? No seriously you have to ask yourself this.
I am having visions of you pushing around an AV cart.

                                http://arstechnica.com/security/2012...rd-in-6-hours/

A password-cracking expert has unveiled a computer cluster that can cycle through as many as 350 billion guesses per second. It's an almost unprecedented speed that can try every possible Windows passcode in the typical enterprise in less than six hours.

Wow that is a monster. So is the answer to use longer passwords or not worry about it because we have set our password lockout limits to something like 10 tries?
