In Ireland every time the prospect of a 0 BA is mooted the bigest opponents is the Vintners (representing pub landlords)

One of thier main arguments is old boys, whos only social interaction is the pint or two at thier bar, would become issolated and depressed because they fear being stopped by the Guards

They have that in the Czech republic and Hungary, still people get killed in alcohol related road accidents.

Banning stuff tends not to actually be very effective.

I agree people will drink and drive regardless, but the law saying you can have a bit to drink but not to much is sending out a mixed signal, and promotes a social acceptability towards drink driving

How pissed do you have to be before its unsafe to drive?

In Uruguay its banned to drive with any alcohol in your blood.
It seems to be very working to reduce drunk driving and related accidents could be Goverment' propaganda though.

As judoka_uk stated, you cannot have alcohol in your system in Hungary. Passengers can, however, ride around with open drinks szeretem Unicum LOL.

I'm sure you could still get in trouble for being a drunken idiot on a bike pretty much anywhere. I think its shitty that you can lose your driver's license for it though.
