Out of interest, for anyone who thinks Islam is a necessarily violent religion, I found this whilst randomly surfing the net earlier. I don't really have a horse in this race, but on the face of it, the Christian right seems more militant than Islam, all external factors being the same.

To be fair the reason Muslims and Atheists are the least violent in America is because they would be the most demonized belief groups and it's easy to see that it would just make things worse. Muslims and Atheists would probably be just as violent as everyone else if certain aspects of the American media weren't always trying to blame them for some injustice.
